Thank you! I don't have a printer at home, so I just saved it as a PDF, zoomed so that your VERY helpful chart was to scale, and then put paper over my screen and lightly traced. Putting that scale on was such a brilliant idea!
This is a great tutorial for someone like me who is just learning how to sew! I thought I wanted to try making the pleated style until I ordered one of each style and tried them. For me, the pleated style was hot and uncomfortable, both in disposable and in cotton. This style is much more comfortable for wearing a longer period of time. I'm glad I waited to decide which style to try making. I'm amazed at how easy this is. After making some for myself, I'll start making them for others.
This is a brilliant design, I'm sad to still be making them over 1 year on, but thank you so much. The behind the head elastic is much more comfortable and convenient if you want to take masks on and off. It's also much better for my mum as the behind the ear ones knock her hearing aids out.
I forgot to tell you that I made this one many times for myself and friends during the pandemic and it gave me comfort and helped me stay sane and safe. Bless you!
Easy pattern! So happy with this! THANK YOU! For smaller nose people: I altered the pattern a bit because the nose piece was a bit big for me (gaping at the top). It worked better if I flattened the shape down to create less of a curve. Happy sewing!
I came back 9 months later to say I have tried other style masks but keep coming back to this one . Thank you so much for sharing this. It really is the best pattern.
I've liked making this mask - mainly because the step by step tutorial is very easy to follow. It's also a great fitting mask. I used straightened out paperclips with their ends turned in for the nose wire. I'd made 2 others before I found this one and now this will be the method I'll use for all our masks. At the moment I've been quickly able to make one for each of the 4 of us. Thank you so much for taking the trouble to shoot and post this.
Yesterday I bought my sewing machine and I chose this for my first sewing machine project. I have just finished. It turned out quite well for the first time but I made some mistakes on the way. I have never sewed anything before 😭 I did the elastics too tight and some seams were uneven. Lol 😂I’ll practice more! Awesome video!!
One of the BEST tutorial on mask making. You nailed it! You make it so easy and explained it very easy with out saying the word umm, umm, umm a hundred times. Thank you.
Fantastic video! 😃 I make mine the same way except in addition to the two layers of cotton, I cut a third layer of non-woven polyethylene to sew into the middle. I attach it to the top layer and just carry on. I challenge any N95 mask to beat it. 😊
Thank you for this, I've been making the pleated mask and while they're nice they're hard to fit all sizes and they take a very long time to make. This helps so much!
Love this mask! I made 2 so far! (I had some adorable fabric that I was just waiting to use for something, and here it is!) I used the Women's measure, and it fit nicely! I sewed the straps a little differently (so that they just hooked around my ears) and it still worked wonderfully. If you do this strap-sewing method, I recommend pinning the strap with a pin and trying on the mask to see if it fits correctly (be careful to pin away from your ears). I can't figure out my new sewing machine so I ended up hand sewing, but it still turned out beautifully! Can't wait to show them off at work! Lots of love!
Melissa Davenport I’m not who you addressed, but I have made two and am currently working on my third. For a women’s mask over the ear style, I think I used about 8cm for each string. I’m not completely sure about that number, however. I suggest pinning the strings to the mask and estimating for yourself.
This is the best and easiest mask pattern I've found! I love these masks. And thanks for the idea on how to do elastics to go around the head instead of ear loops. My kids seem to prefer the ear loops but I think it's good to have both types. Your video is so appreciated! Thank you!!
Thank you for the video and the pattern, tried to make the mask on my own, it didn't come out as good as yours, gonna try yours today, I'll let you know how it came out.
Just finished sewing one and husband is so pleased with the fit. Will be making one for myself, but wish to have elastic around the ears. Suggestions on length of elastic? Thanks for the wonderful tutorials.
I just wanted to say thank you! This is by far the best mask I’ve made. I’ve made 3 different styles and this one is THE ONE. I wish I could post a pic of my finished mask!!
By far the best video yet for mask making! I used the pattern from the Cricut Maker and bought the adjustable elastic from Prime, and the first one turned out great. Thank you for your short & concise video. (I didn't criss cross my elastic as you did but it still turned out nicely).
Easy to follow instructions. I made the adult female mask and thought it was a tad too small -better fit for my 12 year-old, but I'll wear it. (I'm average size - 64.5 inches/164cm). I'm going to make another one though because it's a good pattern. I'll use the adult male this time.
I just made your mask. Finally a mask size for men. It worked out nice. You did a good job on the video. I do not have any wire but that would have made it better. Thanks from the USA!!!!!😎😎😍😍🤩🤩😀😁
I stitched a few of these masks. It is very easy to follow. I like the way you did the elastic. I will try this method when I stitch again. Please give the measurements for the elastic and a suggestion of what I can use for the wire. Thank you
This is awesome. It’s the first mask tutorial that is actually do-able. I am going to try it myself tomorrow wish me luck. Thank you so much for this!!!
Just finished this for husband and he loved it, said it fit the best! I'd like to sew one for myself, but want to have elastic around ears. Suggestions for elastic length? Your tutorials are excellent and easy to understand. Thanks so much!
Thankyou !!! This video is so helpful. I thought its gonna be a difficult task but after watching this video. I can say that I can do that ❤️ . Loved this video and yeah the PDF was so helpful . Love ya
My family members are all short and even my boyfriend is just average, so I think I will stick to the kids and women sizes haha. The adult male size was hilariously big for me so I cannot imagine it on the male members of my family! Great video and much love
What did you use for the nose wire? Not sure how sewing over a wire (if that is what you used) would secure it if you did not use a Zig Zag stitch. Thank you.
Because we’re going to wash this frequently, it’s preferable to use removable nosewire using grosgrain ribbon as we did in this video ruclips.net/video/iBp8bMTfMZ8/видео.html
Thanks for the tutorial! Can I do this without a sewing machine and sew it by hand? I really want to be able to make these cute masks! Thanks again, LC

You figured it out in the best way. You go girl!
conishkee hey I didn’t exactly get it, can you please help me? I too don’t have excess to printer
thanks! i was almost in tears of frustration trying to follow other patterns! i enlarged to 1cm on my screen and traced too. :)

Wish I’d seen this 5 weeks ago. Love the way you did the elastics! I had so much trouble sewing the ear pieces
‘the other way’. God Bless.
Glad it was helpful!
Mary Ann Burch i have hand sewing them 😫 cause i find it impossible to sew them by machine 🤷♀️
One of the BEST tutorial on mask making. You nailed it! You make it so easy and explained it very easy with out saying the word umm, umm, umm a hundred times. Thank you.
Wow, thank you!
Absolute best instructions, without saying a word!!! Perfect masks.
Thank you so much for the free easy access pattern. I didn’t have to add an email to get the free pattern.
Fantastic video! 😃

Did you shorted the elastic for over the ear style?

Thank you so much no more buying of masks and now I can create my own designs and sell to others !!!
Thank you. I’m going to practice tomorrow I bought all materials today and this will be perfect to try with my new sewing machine.
This is the best and easiest mask pattern I've found! I love these masks. And thanks for the idea on how to do elastics to go around the head instead of ear loops. My kids seem to prefer the ear loops but I think it's good to have both types. Your video is so appreciated! Thank you!!

I made these masks for me, my mum and my boyfriend. They are very easy to make and also very pretty.
They love them :)
Thank you for the video and the pattern, tried to make the mask on my own, it didn't come out as good as yours, gonna try yours today, I'll let you know how it came out.
It came in out pretty good, I a different fabric than you, but still came out good.

My family members are all short and even my boyfriend is just average, so I think I will stick to the kids and women sizes haha. The adult male size was hilariously big for me so I cannot imagine it on the male members of my family! Great video and much love
