    I love the clear Brightroom storage bins from Target. The 12 x 6 x 4 size is perfect for my folded fat quarters. The larger size is great for storing my layer cakes/charms/mini charms. All of their clear bins have made finding items in my sewing area much easier to find and keeps everything organized.

    I have a plastic bin rather than a bag for my quilting supplies. It’s about 14x18” and about 8” high with a snap lid. I keep my duplicate supplies in there plus a list of the other things I need to bring (including things like lunch and sweater - so I don’t forget anything). Often I can fit my fabric in there for the day’s sewing but if not, I have a second box I can put the project in that stacks nicely on top

    I have the Tutto sewing machine holder rolling bag and the Tutto storage bag.they are wonderful. I also have the folding dolly from Harbor Freight. My husband bought it for me when I was hauling stuff back and forth for my mother when she was in assisted living. It is so wonderful for so many things. These are great tips especially making sure we do t carry so much at once that we cannot see where we are going. I have learned not to do that or I fall. Thanks a bunch!!!

    I've used a folding dolly for years to move my supply plastic box and my sewing machine in its bag. It works wonderfully for me. I like a plastic box I bought at Hobby Lobby for all of my tools. It loads on the bottom with my machine on top. Oh and a bungy cord holds it all secure. Thanks for your ideas.

    I need something like the wagon. I have been struggling with whether or not I truly need something as I only go to retreats about twice a year. Our craft day at church is maybe twice a year. But, for a day, a tote bag general works as I don’t take my sewing machine. Sometimes I’ve used my office chair on wheels to transport items to a building. I like using my own chair instead of a folding chair.

      I use my chair also. It is good to consider how much you will use it before purchasing it. I have used my wagon quite a bit and that is what I really prefer now. I do try not to over pack and I don't mind making several trips. Thanks for watching and sharing!

      I don’t go to retreats anymore, but I do need,to lug my sewing machine at least twice a month to my guild - once for our day when we sew charity quilts as one for our open sewing day when we can bring and sew whatever we might be working on. I have a crate-type thing with handle and wheels,I bought years ago at an office supply store, but it can’t handle my sewing machine, etc. I’ve actually been thunking I really need one of those wagons I’ve seen that I could put everything into and get from my car into our meeting room. I just wish the colors would be more fun!

    Thank you so much for all the helpful tips! I find myself using my wagon a lot more than shoulder bags as I age. And I am much more conscientious on packing only essential items so I’m not lugging a lot of extra weight around.

    AAA locations have an assortment of travel aids. I picked up something that hooks over my rolling cart handle and wraps around an additional bag (like your bag of sewing supplies) and hooks back over the handle with a cinch so that you can tighten it up securely. 😊

    I already have a Tutto for one of my machines but I really need a slightly larger one for my BabyLock Presto 2. My Tutto does fit my machine but I can’t put it in from the top - I have to put it in from the side and I would prefer to just lift it in and out from the top. But I can’t justify the prices nowadays - my original Tutto I bought at a big quilt show maybe 2012? Can’t remember! Love these but the price…… so I’m looking at the wagon which would carry every single item I want to take and be a whole lot cheaper and much easier to use.

    • @thesimplequilter7499
      @thesimplequilter7499 2 месяца назад

      That is a cheaper option! There are some that come in neat patterned designs instead of just solid colors! Be sure to check out Amazon!

    Good video. I have learned not to overload my sewing machine bag. Nothing but my machine equipment. I have rollers but I have to lift out of the vehicle or up some stairs. Make more trips. Great comment: don't block your vision !...thanks.

    Great video, thank you! I had a plastic bin closure fail - that ArtBin container looks MUCH sturdier!! My local retreat center has a gravel driveway, so sadly no good options for something with wheels. Have you ever run across any crafting backpacks?
