    Used these at the weekend at Fisherwick Fishery. 107llb in 5 hour contest.
    The lack of a swivel to attach your main line is a big problem though. Line twist was giving me lots of problems with the line wrapping around the quivertip. I used the Xsafe feeder 28gram. The feeder does not twist on its own but rolling Fish under the rod tip was twisting the line. Guru need to incorporate a swivel into the feeder that still allows the feeder to pull free of the Fish in the event of the main line breakage.
    No quick change bead for the Hook length either. The small ring that is provided to attach your Hook length is pure tat.
    The Xsafe feeder is a good idea to protect the Fish but Guru need to have a rethink about its design and ease of use.

    I bought a few of these hybrid feeders. I don't think they come with the elastic running through the middle, I think they've added them after, have to look into that. Also, if you have one of the orange guru moulds that come with the other feeders then they were perfectly okay with these hybrid feeders.

    The elasticated stems would be even better if they had a quick change for the hook too as opposed to the small ring for the hook loop attachment.

    I have three of these - came with elastic/quick change connector. Didn't catch anything. Removed the elastic and used with mainline, quick connector and 6" hook length (same as when elastic was fitted), caught 30lb of carp (4-8lb) in 4hrs.

      Why did you remove the elastic/quick change?

      ManicMindTrick Initially as an experiment. Just my opinion, but I think I was missing bites because the elastic stretched and I missed the bites.
      I use them now with a soft tip and works well for me

    The stem on mine became very loose after using for some time. Now one shake of the feeder is enough for the stem to slip out. Anyone had this problem too?

    Hé Steve, how did you make the SPEED BEADS on the X- safe ? Did you cut a bit of the top, so the elastic can go in ?

    Why cast to the other bank when you can drop one in the edge

    • @Enpassantful
      @Enpassantful 6 лет назад

      That always get me as well, carp anglers fishing tight to the far bank, when they can fish close to the bank they are sitting on with real ease, and it makes it easier to bait up as well.

      gwl78 to avoid the bankside disturbance from the angler disturbing the fish. Eg - keepnets,walking etc I’m not sure tho that’s my theory. Plus you have a margin swim to the left or right later on in the session?
