This worked on a 2011 Tacoma!
I had used the grounding method and it didn’t work but just moving the grounded wire to the yellow wire as shown worked perfectly!
    Thank you!

Thank you! Just did this on my 2013 Tacoma. Just out of curiosity do we know what the yellow wire is for that we tap into?

At 2.20 you said that all you have to do is splice it back together.
Do you mean that the blue wire is spliced back together then joined with the green wire to the yellow?

The blue wire coming out of the plug goes to the yellow wire. The blue wire left over is just taped off

Will this work on 2010 FJ Cruiser?

Not sure, But it's worth a try. Just use a fuse bypass. So it anything happens, it'll just blow the fuse. Use 5 amp fuse.

Thank you so much. This worked perfectly. I tried another way(blue wire to ground as another poster demonstrated-- ruclips.net/video/jrc3bUWHb2E/видео.html ) and it did not work on my truck. Mine is a 2007 TRD Offroad. If this doesn't work for your Tacoma maybe try the alternative method.

Same here. Just completed this method on my 2011 TRD after the ground method failed. Many thanks to the OP for this video.
