Nice video, really helpful. I tried the 4k boost lens and was disappointed in the ultrawide angle. Tried all the settings but it just wasn't wide enough. I was reluctant to using the 360 lens but after viewing your clip i'll try it. Quick question: How did you set it up on the chest mount with the 360 lens? like a regular gopro or perpendicular to the chest?
At the end of the video you mentione that you wish that 360 cameras could shoot at least 2.7k.. can you elaborate on this? Aren't you shooting at 5.7k? I get that 360 cameras basically divides the resolution in half. So, what do you get when using a 360 video footage after all the post processing/edits?
One thing that's consistently better in GoPro are the loudest beeps and prominent button clicks. So many times I could not tell if I'm recording or not on so many cameras other than gopro...
How do you mount the 360 on your chest ? I had weird angle so I buy a 68mm extension arm to orient the cam a bit more vertically. And I shoot with +0.5IL because I realized that my dark clothes influence the metering of the scene... Do you do the same ?
Thanks mate, awesome video! Very detailed study of the camera. I just bought the Insta 360 one x2 because I love the 360 shooting. I have also the GoPro Fusion which is still better in video/photo quality, but the sw sucks! I never use it because of the bad workflow in the GoPro Fusion. The Insta makes everything good in the sw, but the GoPro is killer in hw though :-) The follow target mode is awesome in insta for tripod shoots!
