;Fantastic job! I love how you are so in touch with the character of the building! You have transformed the area but respected its heritage. It is everything I would have done in your place! What is the most important thing is that you are happy with it as you are the ones living there! We can give advice that I know you read and take note of, but you have great instinct. You should be so proud of your achievements.
Nice, bright look! Personally, I would paint the bricks above the window. You'll still see the brick arch. Also finish above the door and to the sides to have a straight top line like the longer wall.
I like the furniture you showed at the end. I'm quite familiar with the elements and they are typically put together in a mud room [the equivalent of your vestibule]. Designating a mud room stops mud or snow from getting carried into the house! This type of built-in is quite functional and would be ideal because you don't have a coat closet. So I'll suggest you might want to put it in your vestibule so guests have room to move about and put on their boots and outerwear. ✅
That just brightens everything. You two have done a wonderful job at fixing up your house. Always keeping it in style of your home. Love all the work you have done.🎉😊
Thanks for showing the location of the staircase. I couldn't visualize how that all [hallway's, staircase doorway to the vestibule] comes together in your foyer. The open staircase is very nice. It is in keeping with your aesthetic. It is a HUGE improvement to the space. Two coats was plenty because the wall was primed. Well done. You could put your little Christmas tree in the white corner with no window. It would be BEAUTIFUL with a few colored lights all day and night.✅
I think it is absolutely fabulous, but what matters is that you love it. It's your home, and you two have transformed an old farmhouse into something that showcases your own unique style and talents. It's beautiful!
We all know that painting, bright white will change the look of the room, but when you do it, it’s still a shock how much of a difference it makes. I love what you guys have done with this room. And that little cubby idea of Dessy’s will be brilliant in there.
I was having a vision before you told your vision of plants in the windows and plants in the corner, maybe in hollowed logs planters and live edge window sills. I didn't think of open shelving. Maybe a closed wooden cabinet or wardrobe
Wooow... My Greek side jumped and said Opaaas...👏🏻🙆🏻♂️ now ,your farm has a touch of Greece. The bright white walls are soo beautiful 🤩 Now,only something blue is missing 🩵💙🇬🇷
I hate it when people change a house from what it was intended to be. So for that reason I love the fact that you kept it authentic. ❤ And it looks amazing .
Great job, it looks lovely! In time, when you find new, or old, prints to frame you can hang them on your walls . It all takes time, but you sure made a beautiful difference this week.
Well the hallway looks so big and really nice and bright and clean… good decision kids really good decision… you have transformed this hse… ❤ I prefer it not plastered as it adds character to the house ❤
it looks really good. leaving the walls with a little undulation and imperfection looks better than a perfectly flat walled new build characterless cube and when you have aged wooden doors to break the white it makes it look like a Mediterranean coastal villa. I would paint the bricks over the window arch also because they look like they have been laid by a blind man so no point making a feature of badly laid bricks with uneven bonds.
Keep unpaint only the brick on semicircle above the windows all other keep paint visual a line Keep storage with old natural wood same story with the door add dray plant for decor and cozy light Congratulations nice job!
Love the white walls! Big Big difference. You took away the step, cleaned but didn't paint it white. ??? Did you forget or did you change your mind?? Bugs don't like clean so I suggest you paint it white. A suggestion to walls that are not as smooth as you like, perhaps you could find a think enough wallpaper and do just the one wall. Making it a feature walls. You guys are so fun to watch. You have so much energy.!!! I've had so many accidents to my body (none were my fault) it's taken my strength away in some instances. I had my brother-in-law help me this past summer repair my covered deck. I painted the outside wood (leaf) green and the inside white. I added wood 3 feet to the bottom and added new screen to the top. I fell behind on the painting due to a rainy weather. So at the end my brother-in-law and I installed the boards and I installed all the new screens. Clear plexiglass was cut to size for the sloped top. We finished it off with white tarp covering the screened area to keep the snow out! 😁 If you'd like I can send a few pictures. I super Love Evie and your Geese coming to do inspections of your work. Their interest is amazing and funny all at the same time. Love to Both. Sending nothing but Love from Jackie & son KP from Winnipeg Manitoba Canada 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Love it. It would look completely stupid if you guys tried to make it look brand new. You guys are going with the character of a very old building. You’re doing an outstanding job.
You will be much happier coming into your house now :) I would have painted the arch white too. It will make it look more uniform and clean. I would also have made the transition between the wall and the ceiling straight.
It's like night and day! Wood and white are perfect together!
Wow, transforming this room into a bright welcoming space. The door is a show piece.
Vast improvement looks lovely and has highlighted the beauty of your front door. I am so happy for you both.
it makes it look so much brighter and roomier, old farm houses aren't supposed to look modern, that's what makes them so beautiful ❤
Wow 😮 looks amazing Dessie i love your idee in that corner ❤

I totally agree! Looks a little unfinished.

A product called Goof Off will remove paint from most surfaces, including brick and clothing.
@@raecrowe9514 the gallon size version of Goof Off is called F**k Off.

I think you all should make some kind of design plate on your 3D printer to cover sides of the hole on the door. Have a Merry Christmas!!!
I love it!

It looks so good. I remember when you first moved in. You have come a long way from the beginning. 😂
The white paint makes a big difference. ✌😎👍
Looks good! Now you just need art or some photos to make the walls look less plain 😊😊 the open closet system will look amazing though!
Amazing difference! Just a little question. Why not finish painting above the door and the window? It would finished.
I am shocked at how much larger the room looks!
Please paint the Brick over the window
Maravilhoso trabalho ❤👏😍
