I completly desagree with Vito. Most people only care about the end product and the end product of that ai is very good. Most dont care if there is effort or time behind a painting. The funniest are people that before knowing the origin of the ai art, said that the art was fantastic but than retract it after discovering it was ai. The art was still amazing before knowing it was ai, and it doesnt change that. Also, the point that ai is gonna take the jobs of creators is the same point that people said about machines taking over factory work, agriculture and a lot more industries.
Stable Diffusion is open source. No access necessary, just need to be able to follow github instructions and run a python script. I run it on a GTX 1070 and it takes about 90 seconds to generate a 512x512 image.
@@mateo_roberto Yeah the catch is a lot of the images come out looking busted. Apparently some people have gotten pretty good at writing prompts to bring the success rate up pretty high though.
Artists need to stop bitching about AI and ride the wave. Just like mechanical watches became obsolete and only nerds with too much money buy them, do the same thing with art. CHARGE MORE for 'real' art and people will be lining up for your services.
Vito carbon based artist aren’t all going to disappear because a robot can draw big titties. It’s like when digital artist came along. The shitty traditional artist we’re mostly cleared out and now if you see a traditional artist trending it’s usually because there really good. Now drawings by bots will wipeout the shitty digital artist and will mostly leave us with the good digital artist. Robots drawing big titties is a solution.
