It seemed like Liberty Prime wasn't supposed to be the commander of that deck. It look like a function a lot more like a Dr. Madison Li deck. You don't need much energy for Liberty Prime, as he makes enough energy to power himself, as long as you have two mana and don't care about the vigilance that much

I personally don't really like the energy theme, but it would be boring if I just built both commanders purely based on artifacts.

How is tom instantly activating his commander? i don't see any haste enablers?
He played an artifact call "Thousand Year Elixir" that helps creatures you control to activate abilities as thought it had haste (0:45)
