    Everything is fine, but it is not shown on the video what needs to be configured in the interface itself to record a multitrack. There you still need to configure routing. I would like more details. Thank you.

      I have done many multi track recordings - and you can do it with the instrutions in the video - simply select the channels you want to record in the Configure tab and then hit record. Note that all recordings are done pre any effects

    i bought the ui24r for one reason: multitrack-recording without the need of a pc
    unfortunately i can't figure out how to apply the volume faders (to master) and the mute states of the single channel recordings.
    Does anyone have an idea what settings have to be made to get single channel recordings in the correct volume?

      I'm not sure if you have found your answer. There is a soundcraft ui24 users Facebook page with a lot of knowledgeable people. Maybe you can go there to get an answer

      If you set up your gain stage for each channel correctly from the start, your raw files will have the right level., And yes, there are mute groups available. However it does not offer automation.

    • @terrillmel
      @terrillmel 2 года назад

      I'm not certain, but it would make sense that the levels would be from the gain levels. Track faders shouldn't make a difference in recording level

      In multi-track recordings - you are geting the input only, pre effects and pre-fader - your fader could be at zero but it will still record what is being input - the workflow here is that you can take these recordings into a DAW and mix them later with all the tracks.
      User proper gain structure on the inputs - i.e. - have all your inputs as hot as they can be without clipping - this will maximise your signal to noise ratio.

      Hey Fabio, yes it does work with any Apple Core Audio compliant device such as an iPad and iPhone provided you use the correct adapter.

    how are these recorded WITH the onboard effects?

    • @soundtechnology
      @soundtechnology  5 лет назад +4

      The channels are recorded individually pre-EQ, Dynamics, and effects however you can record a full stereo mix of all channels including the FX engines, EQ, and compression settings by recording the stereo master bus to the USB stick whilst simultaneously playing back USB sources into the contributing channels. This will give you a full stereo summed mix that was created on the mixer itself. Hope this helps!
