I was very impressed by his Die Hard interview, when he described Hans Gruber as someone who had made certain choices, and wanted certain things in life and wasn't afraid to go after them.
I heard him say he wasn't just playing the bad guy. Great commitment, and my favourite actor since Alec Guinness.
