Well the Show does Not Look good.
Looks Like a dance school choeography. They started to ruin it with the bad performed Handshake and played Hip Hop Like behavior.
The dance steps have littlte to do with Hip Hop Dancing, Not really fits the music and are Not performed Well. The moves Look stiff , while they must Look easy und fun.
Dancing ist Not knowing some moves, its making the moves looking good and fit to the music. You have to feel the music and choose the right moves to make IT Look good.
I dont See anything of that Here, making the Performance Look Rookie Like . To me IT Looks Like a Bad dance school choeography.
But what are you saying? Footsteps have nothing to do with hip hop? The choreography is made only from basic steps, you should know that if you are a GURU OF HIP HOP CULTURE! In my opinion, on the other hand, for a two-month job with a group of young guys who were half new and had never moved a step in hip hop, the choreography turned out very well. Leaving aside the hip hop mood, the flow, the technique .... we are not born knowing everything already, things come better and more natural with time, not in two months. My opinion, huh! A lot of hip hop culture dancers told me that too, even straight from the Bronx and California, baby! Other than that, yes, the choreography is from a school, I'm the teacher.... and you know, in 2023 it's now complicated to dance on the street, I've done it for years. If we have the ability to learn within a school, that's a wonderful thing! Just think, there is even the Juste Debout School, and it's really a school!!! 😱😱😱 Mr Wiggles also teaches and does workshops IN DANCE SCHOOLS!!!! 😱😱😱 But I appreciate your advice, I'll try to work on it and improve! 🤗 Thank you!!!
Given the fact they use Dance steps that where used back then when i was in that age in the 90tys they also use some typical Breakdance steps bboys do to get into the Power moves, however as i Said knowing some steps and do them one after another is Not that you dance good to the music.
The Problem is If you dance choeografy, you might Focus in that and only knowing that.
In a group you have to and its hard to Look good If your mit familiar with the steps.
Back then WE did Not Go to a dance school WE did watch Others and did Like them to learn and adding some Personal flavor to have it good looking or a bit different looking.
If you know a lot different steps and you can perform them good looking, you wont need a choreography. Dancing alone you can Mix moves that fit for the music. If your friends are familiar with the moves, you can die them together very easy. So two and three pplncan do a lot good looking stuff without choeography.
This choeography was Not good, because to me IT was only doin different steps one after another.
I did Not think the moves did fit Well to the music and i dont think the dancers on Stage did feel the music.
I mean just watsch some react Videos in RUclips how ppl move tobthis Song they never Heard before. Watch the offical Video tobthis Song how ppl move to IT there.
You can do other moves to this Song but they need to fit to the music.
To make a good looking Show the Dancer should bei Feeling comfortable with the moves He should do. This means He can do them without thinking and have them Look Like its easy done.
That needs practise of course.
I think your dancers should Look some 90tys Music Videos and Look what steps done there and If they can do IT Like that. Sobthey get an Idea what moves the dancers did and why they fit.
After that they should Look what steps can they do without much hassle and how they can combine thouse steps. To have an easy and fun looking Performance.
The teacher should have a Look what steps are looking good when a dancer performs them and tell that them and what steps need more practise. Some dancers will Not perform some steps Well, while Others cant do the ones He can do.
Thats the sight the teacher has to have to promote the dancers and Lifting the dance skills to a higher lvl.
Basicly the dancers themself must have the will to practise more to learnnand perform better too.
I did Dance anlot Back then and did learn IT by myself watching how Others do it.
Practise my own moves with Others and learn some new Help and you can get a Feeling If i can do them easy or Not.
Im not a Guru, but i can easy Tell If someone die learn in Dancing school or by themself. Dancing school dancers in Case of Hip Hop mostly relay on choeography and are often Not ablento do there own Mix. This might get better later but you can often easily Spot someone that did learn this on his own with His own Style.
But thanks for the reply, i dont wanted to let anyone feel Bad Just my opinion and give some advice how to make it better.
When doin choeography i would Not Focus that much that all dancers do the same in sync. Better so some sync moves and then let anfe doin steps they can perform very Well, when they are done ket other ones Take over and let them do there Thing. Add some steps where all do the same stuff, but i would keep that Low. You can even let Teams donsone different Things or fast Changes to spice IT Up.
Anyway have fun dancing, WE all have to Star somewhere and getting better with a Lot practise.
