    While I am waiting on my teardrop cab to come in from Potomac Beads, I am revisiting the "Tapestry Bracelet." I just don't think I say it enough but I am really grateful for your tutorials. I used to be able to take classes at UK and get my creative fix and I have to say that when I am watching your tutorials I don't feel as if I am missing a thing. Your voice is always so calm and soothing and I feel almost as if I am sitting in a class. Thank you again!

    Wow, not a project for one night! Very pretty. I worried the whole time I would break a bead at the last minute while sewing the strands onto the end pieces (thread build-up from crisscrossing), so instead, I just followed the row all the way up and tied a half-hitch knot every 2 beads. No broken beads, yeaaaaa!!!! Love your design, Stephanie. Just wish I could find Tanzanite 9x6's or 10x6's somewhere for the earrings and ring! Tanzanite doesn't seem to be too popular.

    Hi Stephanie. I;m not sure if you'd like my sharing the idea with you - just let.me know, please, and I will just watch your videos, never bothering you with my thoughts :) When you started to talk about this one, the idea came right away. Because you did the brick stitched ends, wouldn't it be just harmonic to put a brick stitched rhomb in the middle and connect those strings to the sides of it (all 4 - half from each end to each side), and maybe twist them symmetrically? I hope you understand my gibberish explanations here. It's always like this - with a good ideas come new ones, and because it was yours, I feel like I have to share mine because they are born from yours (the fist are always the hardest and always geneous). Talk to me, OK? Love your designs.

      I was going to make another with that very pattern Svetlana. However, there are several already done on RUclips in this fashion! Great minds think alike LOL!!! I will work on a "Bronzepony" version sometime the future! I think you should try it on your own as you clearly have a designers eye!!! Thank you for sharing - I am very inspired by the exchange of ideas and designs!

      I think as designers we have many ideas in common! Sometimes someone gets to it before another LOL. I still think this is a universal pattern that can be interpreted in many ways and you should design your interpretation.

    I love this bracelet and I am going to make it. I made the original bracelet for my daughter in law in the hematite and she loved it. The question I have is how do i get the twist in the beads that you have?

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  7 лет назад

      Thank you so much Janet! The bracelet is done flat and then twisted before I put it on.

      Thank you. I also want to do this in a royal blue and gold. What other color do you think will go good with those colors? or do you think just those colors will be fine. I'm stuck trying to figure the color thing out.

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  7 лет назад

      Janet Odell I love the two color idea. You could switch up gold and blue for the larger beads on the strands (one or two gold then a blue etc) You could also do your brick stitch blue background speckled with gold seeds. Mixing shiny and matte or other different finishes and variations of the 2 colors adds depth and interest. Im working on a lapis and gold bead embroidery cuff so I'm really into the gold and blue theme😃

    Hi Stephanie. Do i decrease a bead on each row? I'm trying to understand what you mean? You are always clear but it's not registering as far as I I get to the five beads at the end.

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  6 лет назад

      +Tina Barela I’m sorry the video is confusing Tina. After you make the ladder stitch row you will always add 2 beads and sew through the second thread bridge of each row. This will result in the decrease to five beads at the end. I think I confused things when trying to demonstrate the color blocking. I hope this helps! If not then message me on Bronzepony Facebook page with a picture of your piece and Ill take a look 🌻

      Hey Stephanie, so I can't do this. Lol. Is there another alternative stitch I could replace with the brick stitch to get the ends done? Thank you in advance!

  • @donnagrady6077
    @donnagrady6077 5 лет назад

    Your finished bracelet looks like you have criss crossed the strands when sewing in to the brick stitch ends but your instructions don't say that. You demonstrate the strands to be sewed in exactly across from each other. I'm a little confused. Can you clarify. Thanks again. I know this is an older video.

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  5 лет назад

      I didn’t intentionally cross cross the strands but twisted them before I put the bracelet on. Sew them directly across as instructed 🌻🙏😊

    G'Day My Under-the-weather Friend, Have you been out side walking in the Winter Wonderland and not wearing your scarf and woolly hat? I have some little tips for my wayward bear... Firstly this is a drink that was given to me growing up (it didn't matter if we had colds or not) and you take some "freshly squeezed" lemon juice....enough to make 1/2 cup or mug then a large dollop of Honey and place in saucepan to warm a long with some lemonade ( I think you call it soda... it's has bubbles) and bring to the heat of tea or coffee and stir well. The best time to drink it is when you go to bed but it can be any time you feel like a drink. Secondly, when ever you feel the soreness in your throat or your voice has that " Non sexy frog like sound" then dip into the honey pot with any size spoon you like and allow it to sooth the back of your throat. Honey is very healing and I know that polar bears don't eat it but your cousins down south do ....and I've never heard of a brown bear with a sore throat!! lol. Now I can take off my Doctor's cap and become your little grasshopper again and so to the beading. Love this bracelet !! It is indeed one that lends its self to ones imagination in the use of colour , beads e.t.c. The way in which your designs blend so beautifully with many other of your designs is fantastic and practical.... if you don't or can't afford a lot of beads to make large numbers of designs.... you can make some basic ones and just mix and match. I have put on hold the "Grand Master piece for the moment as I have a sewing project for some friends (I will tell you more on that project at a later date) and I hope that it will only be a short term thing) but in a way it gives my little grey cells some time to regroup and look with fresh eyes at the design. I am almost there so I hope that it will be finished soon. Do you remember when I talked about my prize winning piece, well I can now show you what it is but you will have to go to Ruby Lockwood's Channel and look at her newest deign. You also need to watch the first (ten minutes I think) to understand what I mean. I had to wait until see had received it before I could show you. Well as usual I have composed yet another novel for you but it will give you good reading matter to occupy your during your "resting time" while you enjoy your lemon drink and spoon dipping into the honey pot. Get Hubby to make you some hearty hot rich veggie soup and write a list of house hold chores for him do do .......and you rest and relax, no "talking" and plenty of nap time. And remember my little polar bear ...."Rug up when you go out Winter Wonderlanding around the Countryside". Blessings XXXOOX

    Lovely bracelet, but, for the record..... tell Mr BBJ that you do not sound like a frog :) far from it -whilst it would be a bit peculiar for me to say you sound 'sexy' what I can say is 'husky'... or is that just as bad - lol. All jokes aside I hope you are starting to feel better -keep warm and take care.

      +Susan Amphlett Haha Thanks Susan! I kind of like husky! It makes me think of the beautiful dog (one of my fav breeds) while with froggy I could be kissed by a handsome other frog and live forever in the froggy kingdom! lol
