Thank you for sharing your trip. In October 2022 my bicycle and I will fly from the US to Cebu. I will begin my 5+ months ride around the Visayas to meet people, see sights, experience the people/food/culture, and look for where I will move to and make my new home in 2023. One of my considerations is to live in a place which is good for road bikes and bikepacking trips. I also like to go hiking and camping. Mostly, I want to stay on paved roads that keep me safe and out of problems with cars and trucks. I want to build up to where my average daily ride is around 40 to 50 Km, five days a week if it is not raining. Another consideration is to live in a place with a vibrant bicycling community for making friends and finding people to ride with me and be invited to ride with them. Another consideration is living in a place where I am not concerned about my bicycle being stolen when I stop someplace when out on a ride. Yes, I will lock it up but I locked up an expensive bicycle in Vancouver Canada once only to find the lock was cut and the bike was stolen. The lock I have now is one which is almost impossible to cut but I do not want things like my panniers stolen when I stop. Yes, people will think I have a strange looking bike. Even in the US I get a lot of people looking and asking questions. It is a Cruzbike model Q45 made for road biking and touring.
Good Morning po, i think total po is less than 5K. Kasama na po boat fare, food and accommodation. Mas tipid po kung walang pandemic kasi pede sana makitulog sa mga barangay hall or police or fire stations. Thank you po pala for watching, safe ride po palagi🤙
