Subscribed!! Got my Dell R620 with H710 mini controller flashed. Kudo's to you for making this awesome video guide!! 🔥🔥🔥 I love the no BS approach! 😂😂😂
The video is a nice overview and provides a link to the needed documentation. I followed the process and sucessfully flashed an H310 mini. However, even with the bootload flashed I could not boot off of this card. I could see the drives, use the drive once booted, but could not boot. This was in a dell NX400.
when i try to flash the card so i can boot to the drives, i cant run the command flashboot. It says the directory(/root/Bootloaders/mptsas2.rom) is not found. Am i missing something here or did something not download properly?
Having an issue with 2x12TB SAS-3 drivers, where by the IDRAC only shows them as 1.536TB. Would this tweak to the H710 Full Size (PowerEdge T330) resolve that issue?
What is the Dell Part No. of the H710P mini? I have the 05CT6D and following your video tutorial but I was running into problem in Linux, it can't seem to find the Perc controller. Thanks!
You m'a hero!!!! RAC0503: There are no out-of-band capable controllers to be displayed. Check if the host system is powered off or shutdown. I see this error in iDrac -> Storage -> * Drives... Any idea how to fix it?
on a H710 Mini B0....everything worked for me untill setting the sas address "setsas XXXX" I get a "No LSI SAS adapters found! Limited Command Set Avaliable! ERROR: Command Not allowed without an adapter! ERROR: Couldn't Create Command -sasadd Exiting Program." :(
@@FIXAPC Thanks for the reply! That's interesting. I generally set up my servers as hypervisors so this solution would only work on hypervisors that allow for software RAID configurations like Hyper-V on Windows Server. VMWare isn't an option with software RAID. I'll have to check on XCP-NG and Proxmox. But since they are Linux based, I'm sure there's a way.
This guide is amazing, but now I’m scared lol. I noticed that the 710p is on VMware’s compatibility matrix for ESXi7, but after it’s flashed the LSI model yours shows as is max ESXi 6.7…did I screw up ordering this card?
This was such a handy tool "this guy" made for us. Great video to kind of make us first timers feel a bit easier going through this process too. One side effect I noticed after successfully completing this process, is that the r820 I have, is flashing a warning on the front panel screen about the battery failing. Because we removed it. Is there a way to stop this warning? I've hunted through the bios areas, and can't find any way. No Googling has landed me on a solution either.
"How To Flash The H310 H710 Raid Controllers To IT mode Firmware" You mention the H310, but you only show the H710 and the guide does not support the H310. What am I missing?

update: SOLVED...if you are having this issue ^^ make sure you have NO OTHER raid cards in the system.
@@FIXAPC I messaged you in discord. getting the same error message, not sure what else to do. can you assist?
My H710P mini controller can't read my new 10TB SAS drives. Will this "IT Mode" firmware resolve that issue?
@@FIXAPC Thanks for the reply!

Will this work on an H730?

You mention the H310, but you only show the H710 and the guide does not support the H310.
What am I missing?
Did you even read the description?
