Nice pickups. I managed to get through this B&N sale without spending any money. However, I did pick up Peeping Tom a while ago when there was a 30% off sale. The new Wim Venders film looks interesting. I remember going to see Paris is Burning when it played in theaters, and I didn't know it had been released on Criterion. I used to go to drag shows back in my lost youth of the 1970s and knew some drag queens as personal friends. It's fun entertainment for adults, and there are a lot of very talented, creative people involved in it. My interest in that culture just sort of dried up after a while. I also remember going to see Hollywood Shuffle and it's a really good film.

The first half of the sale I picked up, Peeping Tom & Le Samouraï. For the last half of the sale I got, Farewell My Concubine & Risky Business. Sadly, I have to forgo the next Criterion sale in November because I need to save my money for the Columbia Classic Volume 5 Box Set that comes out on October 1st. Hopefully the price will come down before my FOMO goes up after January! BTW…Hedwig and the Angry Inch is fantastic! That film pushed John Cameron Mitchell to the top of my favorite Diva list.

Still waiting on my order of Perfect Days! I did go to a physical store yesterday too. My final CC pickup was Double Indemnity, and I also picked up Mother (2009), Alfredo Garcia and Graveyard of Honor (2002) all on dvd 😊 All blind buys

Excellent pickups! I really appreciate what you said when talking about Paris Is Burning. Unfortunately, along with the trans community's increased visibility in recent years, there's been an increase in hate towards them. I wish more people would react with love and empathy instead of suspicion and hatred when encountering people who are different in some way to them. Or just, you know, leave people alone and let them live their lives. *Anyway*, great to also see you pick up Bound, one of my all-time favorite movies, and Perfect Days, one of my favorites from last year. Both are fantastic.
