    Nice review! Seems almost identical to the martin smith banjo that I got off Amazon

    Thanks for the review, Charles. That Jameson actually sounds pretty good. Is that standard tuning just capo'ed sixth? Thanks!

      Nope, it is DADADA Tuning. You can get there by leaving the first and second strings where they are, then tuning the third string an octave below the 1st, and so on. It is capo'ed sixth though

    You were probably having trouble keeping it in tune because the strings were still stretching. There's a period while they do that where the banjo doesn't stay in tune long. Btw I'm looking for one of these if you want to sell it.

      The video was made many years ago, and yes, that was the case. They stabilized after about a week

      @@meercreate For a beginner, do you recommend the 6th string versus the geared 5th string? I see the jameson 5 string banjo with closed back with geared 5th tuner for$155 at walmart. what do you recommend

    • @meercreate
      @meercreate  5 лет назад +1

      Depends on if you want to learn the banjo or banjitar

      @@meercreate Banjitar is probally easier cause you can play in every key without re-tuning & even use a Capo too.

    Good review. I'm still mixed on whether I like the resonator or not, though I see your view on it. I have a banjo uke and a banjo six-string. I do keep missing the target of an actual five-string banjo. I have this model, and I would say the action on it when i got it was crazy high, and it is a bit difficult to tune. Otherwise, I have had a lot of fun with it, as you can hear, here. soundcloud.com/user-153328599/god-in-room
