      @kr0wn.aSSaSSin 11 месяцев назад +21

      You just start with the lowest percentage & work ur way up until ur skin can handle it or u like the effects it’s producing for you ig - that’s all I know. I’ve never heard of “types” for different ages, but I’d say if ur younger use a lower %, if ur older use a higher %

      @Knoxsinn 10 месяцев назад +22

      Idk if you're still looking for an answer but I assume she means the three different stages. From least to most potent: retinol, retinaldehyde, retinoic acid. For a very basic understanding, retinol is commonly used as an ingredient and can be found in stores, retinoic acid is pure and concentrated commonly found as a powder and is for chemist/lab use, retinaldehyde is a middle ground that is commonly obtained via prescription (ex: tretinoin) due to higher potency, but there are some exceptions (ex: Naturium).

    • @silviakhan1073

      Differin is a slower type of tretinoid. I asked my dermatologist when getting my Retin-A cream 00.5 for flare up of milia under my chin, he said is perfectly fine although a minder dose.
      Also from what I have tried I do like L’Oréal products over Olay anytime. The Revitalift products are good! Have not tried Neutrogena yet.

    • @dazem8
      @dazem8 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@silviakhan1073Never tried loreal but I have Olay and i really dislike the fragrances in their products so I moved on to neutrogena and it made me feel itchy to be honest... but it could be because I was using retinol for the first time and I think that's common.

    • @skincarefory6506

      Not sure if you’re still looking for an answer, but she made a video explaining about different stages of retinoic acid and how to get into it for beginners. Basically, start with lowest percentage and go up slowly. Consistent is key. Using retinol product at lower percentage everyday is better than using retinol product at higher percentage only once a week.

    It’s been over a year since i am using 0.3% retinol serum by the minimalist (indian brand similar to the ordinary). My skin’s taken it well. Should i switch to 0.6% or 1%? Confused. Plz suggest. I’m in my early 30s

    I am kind of a beginner. Started with 0.05 tretinoin and never irritated my face :) I do it daily and have seen some major improvements. Been doing it for less than 6 months :) if my face ever feels right or a little irritated I just do a day of moisturizer + Vaseline or baby bum paste and voila 🎉

    I was wondering about getting retinol in your hair? I am worried about it a little lol. I think I heard you say that it doesn’t hurt could maybe help but.. yeah .. does anyone know? I’m on the ordinaries 2% I think it’s called granactive about to go to a script.
    Oh I heard it can help with hair growth so …should we be putting it on our eyebrows/touch the hair line? Thanks!!❤❤❤
