This is my HANDS DOWN favourite song in entirely of Electro swing and the only reason I know about is August Mix 2018 (which sadly had been since taken down). You promised to re-up!
Lately I've been digging electro swing a lot. In my humble opinion, some "electro swing" artists don't seem to put "electro" and "swing" together very well. Many of them are actually making very typical EDM with a bit added swing elements. Though I respect every artists' decision in making their own styles, that is not I looked for. And this one is a great example for balancing "electro" and "swing", it was superb. Keep swinging.
- Na most electro swing artist I’ve seen emphasize more of the swing elements imo, but honestly I haven’t heard one electro swing track I haven’t liked. Every artist is unique
I see a little of both sides to the extremes like Cut capers more orchestral style to Jamie berry's more electro lead. I like both. there is a point where their is too much electro for swing, but to me that's not too much a problem. it's alright by Dutty Moonshine Big Band is a good example of a electronic heavy instrumental.
I played this nonstop during the lockdowns here in Italy, definitely helped with the mood, I love this song and the band in general. Style and good music together
Operator: "Hello, 911, what is the nature of your emergency?" ESC: "Can you tell me what's the point in building empty empires NOW?" Operator: "Are you aware that calling emergency services for reasons other than an emergency is illegal?"
Can you hear the call ? Do you recall your papa when he sat you on his knee Telling you the stories of everything he sees Parading other people, how they braved the battlefield Taking on an empire, fighting to be free Oh Papa, tell me what you saw Tan Tan Tara, can you hear the call ? Oh Papa, I can see it in your eye Tan Tan Tara, ba-bap-da-da Flying out the funnel, crackling on the radio Emergency connections on a telephone exchange "You've reached the operator, what's the reason for your call ?" ESC, i cant comprehend how every song you make becomes my favorite. i have listened to this song over 50 times in the last day. you guys never fail to impress me. thank you for your music ♡♡♡ i love you guys ♡♡♡
I have no Idea what "Hollow Knight" is, but I found this song playing "Synth Ryders" on my V.R. headset and cant get enough !! This music is just too good !
I came here because of a couple of college friends recorded their everyday life with their hilarious good friend, lovable roommate, and has a STRONG HATRED for Garbage Bins, Master Chief. Anyone else?
Actually, it sounds like music from the late 1930s and early 1940s when Big Band Jazz and Big Band Swing were popularizing this style. And it makes sense in the grand scheme of things that this would return. That was an era directly after the Great Depression. And November 2016 was sort of the unofficial end of the Great Recession. There is a very specific kind of celebratory sound to this style of music that is happy and triumphant, but also a little rebellious.
Electric Swing Circus It's been a long time and thanks to another RUclipsr call Impact props I was able to find you guys. Love this song! I hate that Jake Paul makes shit songs and gets subs out of his ass. And you guys make a real song and only get 208k views. You guys deserve more like 208 million.
Because swing, along with a lot of music like jazz and blues, has it roots in black communities from that era in the US (Which princess And The Frog is set in.)
Most people found this through HK, but my story is more complicated. I watched the “what is electro swing” video, listened to the song (a Wolfgang Lohr song), which led to the hit n run remix and then ESC. And that’s why they’re my most listened to artist of 2024 and it flew by was my most listened to album
I feel like the song is way to interesting and deep to have a lighthearted music video. From just the sound I envisioned a small child desperately curious about the now ancient wars that have been fought. So much so that the small innocent child doesn't even ask to talk to her father from the operator but just asks the question that's been on her mind the whole time. But, to each their own. Keep up the unique work
I see a child or someone "speaking" ( like the singing) to their grandfather or father, and as the chorus comes about is shows a flashback to the war he fought in (like he was the commander of a massive tank column as he lead the charge into the enemy).
Crazy how I was already a massive fan of HK and ALSO a massive fan of this song before that animation, bet a little few people match the same situation as me

I've been listening to their music for about two months. This is the first time I've seen a music video, and I'm pleased with the band members! I was expecting them to look kinda, I dunno... Perfect? But they look like ordinary (albeit eccentric) people, and I absolutely adore that, it suits the genre so very well! And props to the special effects guy, this video is amazingly crafted and matches the song surprisingly well. 9/10 because there's always room for improvement no matter how amazingly crafted it is, but I can't see anything wrong with the video personally.
Thank you to the Hollow Knight fandom for introducing me to this song through the fittingly amazing MAP!
I found out bout' this song from the Hollow Knight MAP too!

Hi bro
Came here from the Hollow Knight MAP, and now you have a new super fan
Checking in from the Hollow Knight Community! Great song!!
This song is like crack, I'm primarily a metal head and just discovered this genre and I cannot get enough
High five
Like Sabaton, I discovered this band through memes. And like Sabaton, I can't get enough of it.
I'm a metal head too and i love electro swing, it's so good
Hell yeah brother
Now I'm vividly picturing a thrash metal version of this song 😂

why don't they play stuff like this on the radio.
Because it is good.
Because even the commercial jingles are more cultural lets be honest why not :)
Cause everybody would drive like crazy shits in their cars !
Too late, they already do!
you only need to listen to the right stations :)
Electro Swing is the best music genre of the 21st Century so far. By far.
You can tell they had fun with this. I approve. Best New thing ALL WEEK!
Erin Thomas omg they look like theyre having the absolute time of their lives when doing it live
This is now my new favorite music....100% thumbs up

There's not a single thing I dislike about this song or video. First song heard of this band, immediately subscribed and shared with friends.
Daniel Gould same!
Daniel Gould bro same
the only issue I had was the fact that her dress gave me trypophobia
Her hat in pasta in quite disturbing tho
It still blows my mind that this was written completely separately from Hollow Knight because HK wasn't even released then, and yet fits so perfectly
Or maybe they wrotr the lore about this song🤨
Or ya know.....they made the animations to fit the song?
Have you considered the faxt that the animation could be synced to the song instead of the song being synced to the animation for some reason
It fits a surprising amount of things, like the American revolution

Pretty damn cheery performance for a song about a WWII veteran telling about the painful fight against the nazis.
