Wahab, I am in complete agreement with you. We, as Pakistanis, have indeed marred the natural beauty of our country. I recall the pristine conditions of Swat, Naran, and Kaghan from my childhood-places that were once clean and free from this thoughtless and haphazard construction. The same unfortunate trend is now occurring in Kumrat. As you pointed out, the uncultured populace seems to take pride in discarding trash indiscriminately, ensuring that no one else can savor these spots after them. It is deeply ironic and lamentable what we are bequeathing to our future generations, who will undoubtedly condemn us for this destruction.

I think we need to take alarming steps in order to save the nature. As far as kumrat is concerned government of kpk I hope they exists should declare it as national park like deosai and comes up with a set up rules to do business without harming nature. Business expansion needs to be limitized and strictly monitored by government body. Allow only numbers people to visit the area. Heavy fines should be enforced if tourists don’t complying with the rules. Improve road infrastructure, recreational activities setup like canada so local people can make money from different sources. Educate local and tourists to follow islamic teachings cleanliness. At the end, I am sure I just waste my time by typing this message lolz 🤣

سارا پاکستان گھوما، بہت ایڈؤینچرز کئیے، خوبصورت ناردرن ایریا کو ہائیکنگ کر کے بھی اپنے اندر اتارا، کُمراٹ کے بدترین 50 کلومیٹر روڈ ٹریک کا سفر کرنے کے بعد جو خواب ولاگرز نے سوجھائے تھے وہ لیکر جون کے پہلے ہفتے پہنچا لیکن شدید ترین صدمے سے دوچار ہوا، پوری وادی میں جنگل کاٹ دئیے گئیے ہیں جو چند ایک جھنڈ بچ گئے ہیں ان کی کٹائی زور و شور سے جاری ہے، وادی میں پھوڑوں پھنسیوں کی طرح بے ہنگم ہوٹلوں، ٹی اسٹالوں، ڈھابوں کی بہتات ہے، دریا خال خال ہی نظر آتا ہے، موجودہ کُمراٹ اب صرف موٹربائیکرز بچے بچیوں کے لئیے اچھا ایڈونچر ہے لیکن جو ناردرن ایریا گھومنے والے لوگ ہیں ان کے لئیے مایوس کُن destination ہے۔
۲۰۲۱ تک یہ وادی خوبصورت تھی لیکن اب ۲۰۲۴ میں دریا کے ساتھ جو خوبصورت sites ہیں ان پر بڑے ہوٹلوں نے encroachment کر لی ہے، کیا بڑی properties / Resorts کو انجوائے کرنے کے لئیے ہزاروں میل کا سفر اور لاکھوں روپئے کا خرچ جائیز ہے! نہیں۔

When I was young I fell in love with Lake SaifulMuluk, Naran. When I visited it for the first time approx 15 years back it was one of the most beautiful image that I had seen in my life at that time. Unfortunately every passing year brought bad tourists and now it looks like a mela spot. I still visited it a few days back , knowing how bad things will be during eid season. It was sad to see some trash floating in the lake as well. That made me so sad. All I could do, at that time was to keep that one wrapper of chocolate that I had there, secure in my jacket until I threw it in the hotel dustbin upon our return. Felt a bit satisfied knowing Lake was less of 1 wrapper. My very tiny contribution to nature. 😢
I'm feeling so unhappy nd sad for the special beautiful trees no body think abt the nature but how is possible because our people is so -------------!!!! Excellent work bro! We must highlight strongly the importance of cleanliness everytime! Most of Pakistan is littered heavily and it has to stop! We can't just keep blaming the government for it. Every individual is responsible. Last I visited this place in 2019 and I was shocked to see how dirty it was. Seems not much has changed since then. Please keep spreading the right word. It surprises me that most people who visit Kumrat paint a very rosy picture after their return. Like its literally paradise. Can't they see the trash for themselves? Or they just choose to ignore and accept it as a norm?

But one thing i want to say k hum garbage ka zikr tau kar rahey hain lakin kia hi acha ho k hum jannat ko jannat bananay main apna hisa daalain aur garbage collect karna shuru kar dain. I am 100% sure k aap ki dekha dekhi bahut se log aur young genration yeh kaam karna shuru kar degi. Sirf zabani kalmi se masahil hal nahi hotay uss k liye apnay haath ganday karnay partay hain.

It took me quite some time to realize that the problem isn't the lack of litter boxes or government infrastructure for waste management. The issue lies in people's uneducated habit of littering everywhere. No government, not even the most developed nations, can handle the amount and extent of litter that we produce.
Two years ago, I visited Kumrat. From Thal, it's at least 5-6 hours of travel (jeep, horse, plus walking) to Katora Lake. We encountered fewer than 20 people on our way. Despite the moderately difficult hike, there was litter all around. I felt ashamed when a local told me, "If you don't find litter on your way, recheck your route; you might be going the wrong direction. Just follow the wrappers, juice boxes, and bottles, and you'll reach Katora Lake."
Unfortunately, I think we are beyond the stage where we can mend our ways. We need strict enforcement to address this issue (danda). I love your message Wahab bhai !

Thank you for always talking about the littering, deforestation, and ugly construction. Neither tourists nor govt is bothered by it and our north is getting destroyed.
i wish i could make this video of yours as viral as possible. if half of pakistan would think and learn to respect as you the hope which is 1000 percent lost would again see a glimpse . good to know that some one in pakistan even can think this much.

BTW.. I’m sure the fishing guy is an experienced person . However, u were trying to find the fish at the wrong place . Dosri baat , locals naye jaal maar maar kaye machli almost napaid kar di hai yahan . I visited this area back in 2016-17, and we managed to catch only 3-4 fish in whole day . Sab tareeqaye azma kar deikh liye but machli hoti tou lagti.. suna hai idhar dynamite say bhi fishing hoti hai, not sure though.or spinner size tou theek hai but rod or reel buhat bari hai for trout fishing.
