I believe in her too my mom asked me from her and when i cant go to her they brought her in our town...her love is very gracious like a real mother.she came to me to comfort me

Oh, mother of God i pray to you with my solemn heart for the conversion of the whole world who do not aknowledge your intercessions and graces, that you are the mediatrix of your son Jesus and to the Father in Heaven. Mary my mother please help us by asking your son Jesus to manifest in us His firey love into our hardened heart so that we may altogether unite and riegn the with our soveriegn God in the unity with your son Jesus and of the Holy Spirit,

I am from manoag but after learning Islam I understand this to be idolatry... Jesus (peace be upon him) never said to worship himself and his mother..and also making statues of Mary and worshiping it is prohibited in the bible...this is clearly a pagan religion that has been mixed into the true teaching of Jesus (peace be upon him) Jesus taught oness of God who has no father and mother...Islam is the pure religion There is no God but one God and follow the prophet of that time you live in....and this is the time of Muhammad (peace be upon him)

Jp Apring first read your own bible and see if it says you can make statues of mary(peace be upon her) and worship it or worship her(pbuh).. your not following the true teaching of Jesus.. this is a mixture of roman/greek pagan practices..the real teachings of Jesus is the same as all Prophets to believe in one God and not to make or carve images of idols... So first show your reasons of defending this pagan ritual that was brought by our previous colonial spanish masters before calling someone "bastos''...as you can see most of the comments posted here you can see people praying and asking this statue of mary which can neither help or benefit them....so this is being bastos(disrespectful ) to God the almighty since he created you he is the only one with the right to be worshipped.

Verse 116 of the fifth chapter (Sura al-Maidah) in the qur'an reads as follows:
5:116 And behold! God will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of God'?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden.
