(Clue: censorship and false-labelling is ONLY EVER ABOUT propaganda.) Galloway is a maverick; but he's no liar. Even if I disagree with him, he is informed and his opinions coherent.
Unlike most on the 'liberal/left' he is also a patriot; which explains how he captures the ear of those who are not typically politically aligned with him. He is fearless in the face of corrupt media, and calls-out government spin head on. Intellectually, Galloway is way ahead of much of the government front bench, and ALL of the pathetic opposition benches and shadow cabinet.

Iraq and S. Hussein contravened all of the U.N. conventions on human rights violations that legitimised "regime change". WMD were obviously a ruse, an addition, to tip the balance in favour of "intervention". Having said that, on the whole I agree with agree with the other 3 replies.

His morals depend on his employer. He'll very eagerly defend Palestinians then simultaneously deny China's treatment of Muslims. Then he'll assert his democratic freedoms in the West, whilst he makes excuses for China's crackdown on pro-democracy Protestors in Hong Kong.

I've never been on Twitter however, I remember FaceBook had slapped Lee Camp's show "Redacted Tonight" (also now cancelled) as "Russian State Media" for quite some time before the war broke out and before his show was cancelled entirely. I don't remember MOATS ever being labeled with that at that time but for Twitter to slap George with that label now especially after RT was already banned and everyone's show cancelled is beyond ludicrous!

George is quite correct about not using the word "leftist." Your "political categories" have become completely outdated, as you should know. The words "left/leftist" and "right/rightist" are now meaningless.
I despise almost all of George Galloway's opinions, but I've always enjoyed hearing them. He seems to genuinely believe something and stand by those beliefs, which is so rare in itself these days that it's got to be admired. If we don't hear ludicrous rubbish (which is how I term Galloway's views), and have a chance to think about why they are so wrong, how can we shore up our own robust arguments? Everyone should be free to say whatever they want, and everyone should be free to disagree with whatever they want. No one has a right to be offended by anything they hear.

He is from Dundee yet supports football teams from both Glasgow and Manchester. This gives a slight glimpse into what sort of principles and loyalty he has. He was also against his own country too when it came to Scottish independence.

A legal court case concerns itself with the LAW not moral concerns. I don’t think you can be that sure he will lose. As he is not currently broadcasting via RT being labelled as doing so is clearly incorrect.
