Wind of Change, Send me an Angel and Rock you like a Hurricane are my favoites, think i started listening when i was 8 or so, its been an iconic part of my childhood
I was born in 1955...I always tear up at the scenes in this video...because I remember...Blessed to have watched the "Wall" coming down on my TV. The Vfietnam War, civil wars, genocide...it was all part of my growing up years. God bless you both. You are doing a great job on these reactions.
i was a kid in west germany back in the 80s. half my family lived in east germany and i remember like yesterday how it felt to visit them. hours of waiting at the border, vigurous car inspections by the border military, driving to the local police presidium to register followed by at least another hour of waiting for documents (for a simple matter that usually would take 5 minutes) and then finally drive to my families place. the east germans weren't allowed to travel to germany with their kids, to reduce the risk of them fleeing to the west. so we mostly traveled to them. it was such a great moment when the berlin wall fell and all the borders opened. random people meeting in that moment just behind the border in west germany and people celebrating together.
The whistle is something out of this world! The song is so soft but intense and I tend to hear it when geopolitical events occur that remind me of the late 80's and early 90's and the hell yeah feeling I felt while in Berlin in 90 and 91 when everything changed there and the final end of the cold war ensued.Further, while listening to "Winds of Change"its not so much a "cutting deep" feeling insofar as what I may have stated from the whistle and his haunting voice, but more in line with catharsis, due to the fact it brings forth so many emotions and detoxes me of the pain, suffering, and shit I and many of us have still due to living on this earth beholden to the dicates of psychos parading as benign leaders while controlling and abusing humanity. But in the end tranquilty, solace, and acceptance of the past occurs after listening to it and hopefullness for the future.
Scorpions rock! They wrote this song a few months before the Berlin Wall came down. They could sense the change coming. More Scorpions, please...thanks Patrick and George.❤🤘
you both guys are amazing, love your smart and universal point of view...... from an French (half polish) guy able I hope to feel the same emotions as you..... citizens of the free world
I adore the scorpions. Oh my gosh, they're fabulous, and I got to watch the Berlin wall. Come down Li when I was with the circus. It was all communist ringling brothers , barman , bailey blue unit , and there was nothing more beautiful than watching that wall come down
Klaus meine the god on earth his voice enchants you no one can match your vocal power you are Klaus no one and able to imitate you they just have to bow before you with their heads down
You're absolutely right, Patrick, music is so powerful and there are so many messages it carries, some people listen, some not, some don't understand, and don't appreciate what music tries to say. I've heard of The Scorpions but I've never heard their music. I do remember the Berlin Wall coming down in 1989 - in Scotland we were glued to the news every night watching all the changes that were taking place and I remember getting quite emotional seeing the checkpoint opening and all the people being allowed out. Also all the people standing on the wall and hitting it with hammers. It just seemed incredible after all these years of oppression. Wind of Change is a beautiful song and carries a lot of emotion. I enjoyed hearing it and watching the video. Great reaction, guys, it obviously means a lot to you both.
Hey :) This is Malte from germany :) Best greetings to Georgia my friends. We all know how the cold war was with our countries :) Peace and Love to yall
The scorpions have so many great songs this is one my favorites mabey you guys can react to (still loving you) I think you'll enjoy it as well. Keep up the good work
As I was brought up in the 60s and 70s,all I knew was the cold War and what was going on in South Africa, so when it all started to unravel, and the collapse of the soviet Union, when I stood there as I watched the wall come down.when I actually seen Nelson Mandela walk out of prison, all I can say guys is I never thought in my wildest dreams those 2 major things would ever happen. So a message to the young, we can still make a change for the better if we stick together. G.uk
The Scorpions rabbit hole can keep you busy. Everything from instrumentals like “Coast to Coast” through to others such as “Send Me An Angel” or “No One Like You” or “Walking on the Edge” and “When Passion Rules The Game.”
This is one of the best songs from the 90s, I served in the forces in the 70s when this song came out it was so beautiful, we should all strive for a World where we can all live in freedom and peace, where dictators and genocide no longer exist where every life matters and people are allowed to reach for greater heights. I pray my grandchildren and all children never have to know the horrors of war.
You can't imagine! I have tears in my eyes everytime I hear this song ... I was there when THE WALL came down and Germany was re-united! Cold-War was over ... love & peace! ♥
Such a wonderful and exciting to be a teen and watching the wall come down and seeing families reunited after years and decades. This song was inspired by these events and was so beautifully written and sung....almost hauntingly. Being a German band the concert footage was of the first concert ever involving both sides. So glad y'all are watching this 💗. Try their song Send me an angel....y'all will have goosebumps. Be safe from a Georgia 🍑🕊️
I went to the former USSR while this song was popular. You could feel it in the air. The Russian soldiers were still there where I was but they were packing up and leaving. It was refreshing and hopeful at the time.
Last week i suggest this song for you guys, but yeah in some point i would have guess that you will add this incredible song.Thank You anyways. Scorpions was the first band i liked from my own will...i used to liked The Beatles in my childhood because of my father and other bands, but Scorpions was a find to my taste in music...Thank God for that. Like u says..."Not everybody knows this song or other incredible songs, but to change this we have to share and recommend to others" My part was done and yours too as well. Congrats for what you guys do and Thank You again.
I personally prefer the Scorpions songs from the 70s and 80s but this is their hymn, very famous around the time right after the Berlin wall fell down, as you might know. I'm still waiting for... (you know who I mean) ;-) But your reaction video is very good, as always. I enjoyed watching it. Best wishes : Gerry
So many others feel the emotions of American events through American songwriters but the German Scorpions group made us Americans feel their pain and triumph with the collapse of the Berlin Wall. Even though we weren’t there, we felt the struggle and pain of the people in Germany and ultimately their joy of freedom through this song! Magical!
I would really like if you guys could react to a very early, but amazing, Scorpions song titled "Fly to the Rainbow" from the album with the same name. It is a long beautiful song very much like a Pink Floyd song and guitar work that would make even David Gilmour take notice. I know that songs that make you two think about life, and the deeper meanings of songs, and this will hit you hard. Plus early Scorpions, with the original line up, does not get enough love in the reaction world.
yes yes yes please!!! the Uli Roth Scorpions Era is THE Best!!! it's a pity that many people write their most pop songs in the comments, and everyone forgets about the first 5 albums, and they are the real masterpieces
Soooo many great Scorpion songs: "Send me an angel" is one of the most beautiful rock ballads of all time. Do it next. "Still Lovin' You", "Rhythm of Life", Big City", "The Zoo" You can't go wrong with any of these songs!! By the by, I'm still waiting for you guys to be the first "Reaction" channel to do, "Lady of the Lake" by Starcastle.
Gran canal amigos apenas los acabo de conocer, he visto algunos videos suyos sigan con estas buenas canciones saludos a Georgia USA, saludos desde la ciudad de México.
I'm 59, and cry like a baby EVERY TIME I hear this song! Beautiful reaction!! ❤
Sweet sweet memories of/with the scorpions
Wind of Change, Send me an Angel and Rock you like a Hurricane are my favoites, think i started listening when i was 8 or so, its been an iconic part of my childhood
I was living in Germany when the wall came down- so we got to watch it live on TV. What an emotional time!
I remember too. An American hoping politics was over. Wrpng
I think the whole world was watching it live on tv.
Why didn't you go there and picked away a brick.
@@Haxmaxxen because Berlin was hundreds of miles from where we were stationed.
Stayed up all night watching it.
Wunderschön 😢greetings from Germany 🇩🇪

"THE ZOO" IS A MUST..! A REAL ROCKER...!
Not so heavy but one of the best intros ever.
@@paulfarnier3914 I would say it has a very heavy sound... Not "heavy metal" but heavy rhythm and sound.
@@2869may Exactly. The only heavy bit is the intro. You obviously aren't a metal connoisseur like me. To call it a real rocker is a bit exaggerated
@@paulfarnier3914 I hope you're able to find it in your heart to forgive me for baring such a heinous false witness....

Great reaction guys.
2022 and Still loving the. Scorps!! this song always gives me chills, such a meaningful song even today.

SORPIANS ...LOVING YOU ,,, gives me goosebumps please react to this song sometime
You need to react to the long (album) version of "Still Loving You". It should be about 6:33.
I was also a little child. I sat watching the war with my family. Praying my uncle came back.
I got to see his wedding. Beautiful reaction 💓
Scorpions should be in the rock n roll hall of fame just got this song alone!!!
I saw them fifth row center, 198? Good time.

Their nicest song is definitely Always Somewhere recorded in 1979 😍
I’ve been curious about Lake Van, and where you live looks beautiful!❤️
End of 90 s CCCP❤
Klaus has an amazing set of pipes. "Still Loving You" is a MUST; they shred it. Also "The Zoo."
Every CLASSIC Scorpions fan's least favorite Scorpions Song😂. Big Hit though.
This song hits me hard, its intense. I'm happy to see your reaction - so powerful, we are all brothers & sisters despite what our governments say ❤
