It’s rare for me to be left utterly speechless, throughout the song I was silent. I was in slack-jawed awe, both of you created a masterpiece. It feels like you’ve made actual perfection, a word I don’t use lightly. Everything from the absolutely stellar people working on the mix, animation, effects and artwork all the way to both Elira’s and your impeccable vocals…all of it was a masterpiece, a bona fide cover to stand as the gold standard. I mean no disrespect to the incredibly talented Yoko Takahashi but this, in my humble opinion, is superior. The way you both harmonize so flawlessly, the vocal control and range is superb, the way you play off each other is impressive. This has made me very happy, Evangelion has a special place in my heart. One of the first anime that made stop and think enough to warrant an immediate rewatch. It’s such a fever dream of misplaced symbolism, allegory, metaphysical, and plain damned weird.
