Depression is crippling. I’ve dealt with it over periods of time but nothing really helped me more than writing lyrics and creating my own music to escape from it, music really became my outlet. So many rappers nowadays are battling it, Dax included, but they all use their music to battle through it. Songs like this are so powerful just hearing the pain in his voice...just really makes you think about how important music is for people. Thanks for reacting to this one coach. ❤️

I suffer from PTSD. I served for 15 years in the Army. I’ve been through A LOT. I lost myself. April 15th, 2018 I attempted to take my life. Divine intervention saved me. Music is MY LIFE Shaq! Depression run deep in fam Her hummer hit ied so i can’t imagine what she felt watching guy next to u die. Y’all soldiers are the bravest people on earth. But I’m sure you know the army doesn’t really return favor when you get home. The help u guys need isn’t so easy to come by I’ll never understand that in my opinion if you guys willing to put life on the line then you should whatever you need. @nolifeshaq I know this video is old but if you see this I just want you to know that watching you and seeing you talk about depression helps alot, I can relate to this song because my baby momma stepped out on me and my twin boys and cheated on me and broke me, this was 4 years ago and I'm still broken, i dont trust anybody because i dont feel like i can. But again @Nolifeshaq if you see this I thank you sincerely from the bottom of my heart.

I've had those dark nights too, many times, and somehow managed to come out of it alright. Chrome .32 to my temple on more than one occasion. Had some Divine Intervention in 2006 that pulled me through. Then I started playing blues on the guitar, and that definitely helped. A soothing outlet for sure. I've had MDD (major depressive disorder) since I was a fucking kid, still deal with it, and it's not just being 'sad' and shit which is why people think sadness can be cheered up. Nope. Doesn't work that way. Big part of depression is you not being able to enjoy anything, even things you love, which sounds simple but think about what that does to you. We need to recognize depression as an illness and I don't want to be a victim but we need to recognize it for the kids and everyone else that it's real and it's okay to get help. Save some lives. Thanks for recognizing this issue, my dude, I appreciate it and subbed.

I have been dealing with depression since a child... now im in a abusive relationship for 4 years and 3 kids and ive thought about taking my life soo many times bc i gave my all to this man to just tell me what i wanna hear but beats me controls me, checks everything i do but he can do what he wants. Cheated multiple multiple times but when i try to leave im not allowed to. Tells me its my fault why he gets mad, its my fault why he hits me, its my fault why he tells me bitch whore etc, its my fault. Its hurts most to love somebody soo much but they don't love you back.... gave him what he wanted a family but doesn't even want it not even with his kids....

This video brought up all kinds of emotions. I've had to battle my own demons but I've also loss several friends to depression, it's no joke. I'm a Veteran and for a lot of us after getting back from combat, (sometimes 3,4,5 times ) we get home and go down this rabbit hole of depression that is so deep we can't see or find our way out of it. The sad fact is 22 Veterans a day commit suicide due to depression and/or PTSD that's one every 65 minutes. I really liked his story telling the video reminds me a little of Joyner Lucas. I'm not sure I'm up with the comments about women are worse than men and such. I've never cheated yet have been cheated on. But I do like the overall message and the powerful way he delivers it.

I’m a 17 year old guy and call me whatever you want, but when I listen to songs like this I quite often just start sobbing. Just because I can relate so much. I do have a girlfriend and all and she’s the best that has ever happened to me so that’s not something I relate to in this song, it’s just the way he feels I relate to.
Ever since I was 6 years old I’ve been bullied by so many people, it did get better when I graduated primary school and went to upper secondary because those vile ass people didn’t come to this same school. But the shit they all did and said in my younger days still gets to me every single day.
The situation at home doesn’t help either. My parents are divorced and I live at my moms place, but I do see my dad every month (he lives about 500km away) which I’m very happy about, it’s not like he’s a bad guy or anything like that so. It’s just that my mom always makes shit seem like my fault and I’m always wrong, she can like never just swallow her pride and admit she’s wrong for once. She does this all the time, 24/7, complaining and making me feel like a piece of crap. Also my sister is hella toxic too so that doesn’t help either.
I think about ending it pretty much every day, and I’ve been close to doing it several times. The only thing that makes me hesitate is my girlfriend, without her I would never have made it this far.

Last week I went to the doctor and she ask was going through depression and I lied and said no because if I said yes she would if sent me to one of those groups to talk about my problems in front of people that I don't know.
I had a girlfriend but then she cheated once but I let it go then she cheated again and I couldn't deal with her anymore so this song relates to my personal life thank you dax for helping me get through it and thank you nolifeshaq for understanding what it feels like to go through being cheated on especially twice
