Its so true. Some people are very anxious and if they would take that statement to heart then they may find some solace. If you can't control it or mitigate it then it's not worth taking up real estate in your mind.

This kind of slow-burn piercing music is why I love Foster the People
I liked Torches better myself. Were there any songs on that album you liked?
I really loved torches and supermodel. My favorite song ever comes from supermodel: Pseudologia Fantastica, but I love every song on torches (except pumped up kicks, it’s like their most overplayed song but I don’t think it’s very demonstrative of their kind of music). Fav song on torches is probably Call It What You Want

If you want that energy of searching, try Call It What You Want or Are You What You Want To Be. If you want that beat and music, try Hard Nites or Ride Or Die. Honestly, all their music is amazing and I’d encourage you to listen to it all

Not quite, maybe of the decade, but the music history is so wide that many singers have only had a second on the spotlight and then they were gone forever, in a glimpse. This band has had better luck IMO, though I do not feel I am in the position to say they are overrated either.

one of my favourite songs! the lyrics make me feel like I'm talking to my younger self, the hopes and dreams I had and the amount of imagination that was lost as I grew up... and the bass line gives so much depth and texture to the song. seriously one of the best songs ever written
