  • Finding Your "Why": An Existential Adventure
People crave meaning, we’re meaning-making machines, but where do we find it?
𝗘𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗙 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. We choose what matters, even if it clashes with societal expectations.
It's a courageous act, this leaning into your personal truth. What's meaningful to you might seem strange to others, but that's the beauty of the journey. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 "𝘄𝗵𝘆" 𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂. The things that ignited your fire 20 years ago may no longer resonate.
𝗘𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿-𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲. Some find their purpose in a future goal, a "why" that propels them forward. Think of Simon Sinek's Golden Circle - a powerful tool to capture your purpose in a clear message. For others, the purpose lies in the present, in the act of choosing what feels meaningful each day, each moment.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿. Not one dictated by family, society, or external pressures. It's an answer that empowers you, that guides your decisions, and injects your life with a sense of direction. It’s the source of authenticity.
𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆? What questions do you have about finding meaning? Share your thoughts in the comments below! Let's explore how existential coaching can help you craft a life rich with purpose.
