As awesome as it was to see you nail that ending first try, but the other endings are legit some of the best ever, they tie it in really deep, just so happens you got the ending that's "true" but also leaves a lot of emptiness, if you catch my drift. Good luck getting the other ones! :D
Hearing your voice while playing the playthroughs are like a source of comfort to my ears, especially when the games are crazy scary. Kinda makes the games less scary
There was a lot to enjoy about that game. It was uniformly tense, but I think I was most scared by the moth "attack" on the light, with you unable to leave by any exit. Would the windows hold? Would you be smothered by moths if they didn't? Of course, the chases didn't do my anxiety any favors either. :-D. But my favorite moment of this experience was: you, not one minute after saying, "Now I have a gun, it'll be different this time", encountering the enemy and immediately screaming and running away. Of course, you will say that it was a tactical retreat to give you space to aim and fire. I will say that it is what makes you just adorable and your videos so very much fun to watch. Looking forward to seeing how you trigger other endings, and what they might be (other than you getting eaten by that thing chasing you, I guess). Thanks, Chris!
My wife has recently started watching your vids with me, ive been watching for around 2 years and have nearly gone through you back catalog. We wanted to know if you sell shirts or stickers or hats or anything for that matter cause we would love to support your channel. I think a hat is something that would be killer man.
*Sees pouring rain* Welcome to Vvardenfell, Outlander! This was a really fun game to watch and seeing it from a different perspective (just played it, myself). The atmosphere really made it! Thanks for your commentary, Chris! Always enjoy your work. Hope you're staying safe amidst this madness!
You've been neglecting your duties, lad! The quarters was unwiped, unwashed and distained! By God and Golly this was a very nice game. :) I assume in the remaining Gull which flew away at the end was the soul of the last lighthouse keeper.
I love these ominous build-up style games. Slow pacing. Let the atmosphere build. I feel many games miss this. And I would love to see if it has a different ending, because this was pretty amazing.
agree, for me most games are scariest when they're building the suspense. When there's openly a killer you're running from and stuff it ends up less scary to me.
I can’t believe theres this many horror games set at a lighthouse, not that it’s a bad thing, creepy, isolated tower that has to be managed in the dark. I almost thought this was. Game they played before at first, guess it’s that good of a setting 😊 Also that story was awesome! It had the feel of a ps1 game and An old school monster movie. Loved the monster scenes.
this is probably the best lighthouse game I have watched you play, interesting story, nice scenes and good pacing as well, looking forward on the second playthrough with the other endings
Definitely loved this. That ending though. XD I can imagine the 2 men on the boat looking over in surprise as the lighthouse toppled over, followed by the assistant being told, "Welp. I guess we won't be needing your services after all." It's apparent that these things don't want you to operate the lighthouse. Whether it's because it doesn't like the light or some other, I do hope the alternative endings would further elucidate on the reason behind these events. I'm even guessing that the previous guardian ended up becoming one of those creatures, but that might be a reach.
CJU, I wonder if they based on the *FLANNAN ISLES* mystery, *EILEAN MÓR*!! Such a cool story! Y’all should look it up. This game was awesome, nonetheless.
Probably my favorite mystery of all time. Something about the isolation they experienced and how things were found when someone came to check... I love it. Many games and stories inspired by it. Chris also played Dark Fall: Lights Out which is loosely based on it. Have you read the poem by Wilfrid Wilson Gibson? It's very haunting.
What a great and unique game! I would love to see the second ending. I really loved the suspence. It's just great to see a very small team or just one guy effort to make a great game that stuck in your brain! P.S. You really don't know how did you clean the windows? You're Mr Fantastic!
For those interested in some more 'lighthouse horror' with an unusual twist like this game, check out Dark Fall 2: Lights Out which CJU has done a playthrough of. It's a point and click indie game made in the early 2000s, but has a mid 90s 'MYST' like feel. It has all the rich subtlety many indie games lack where most of the scares come from reading journal entries and ghostly whispers.
This game creeped me out, I don't know what it is about these lighthouse games that make me feel so uneasy I'll definitely be having nightmares tonight 😳😳
Game Recommendation! Old 1990's PC game Phantasmagoria was very spooky and interesting. "Successful mystery novelist Adrienne Delaney (Victoria Morsell) and her photographer husband Don Gordon (David Homb) have just purchased a remote mansion off the coast of a small New England island previously owned by a famous 19th-century magician, Zoltan "Carno" Carnovasch (Robert Miano), whose five wives all died mysteriously. Adrienne hopes to find an inspiration for her next novel in her new home, but starts having nightmares immediately upon moving in. She is comforted by the loving and supportive Don. Adrienne explores the estate, making mysterious discoveries like strange music, warnings written on her computer, and ominous messages from a fortune-teller automaton. Unbeknownst to the happy couple, Carno had practiced black magic when he lived in the mansion and had summoned an evil demon that possessed him and caused him to murder his wives."
Really enjoyed this. Great atmosphere and fun commentary. The scene with the moths all over the windows made me think of "Three Skeleton Key" with Vincent Price.... I hope you play through this game again so I can see the other endings. Excellent work! =)
As an author, I can't think of anything better than being alone on an island getting paid just to look after the place while I write. As long as there's Internet access and power, sign me the fuck up.
That wiping the window sound effect made me laugh.. can't really describe it but it reminded me of cartoons where they drag out certain sounds to emphasize it's annoyance etc lol.
Cj, 2 things about this game. Firstly, the game goes on for much longer if you don't get the gun, just escape to the basement. Secondly, there's no point to this, but you can take the mop from the kitchen and clean up the black gunk you come across on the floor and the ground, just a neat little interactivity.
By all means play it again Sam! This game is amazing! And I was thinking "What a silly name for a game. Must be another "terrible indie horror game" Cju dug". The developers got be proud of their work. PLAY IT THROUGH AGAIN, Chris! If you feel like it of course.
While this is fun, I'm stuck on the accuracy. I know it's a game, but it was nagging me the whole way through. In history, there would always be two lighthouse keepers taking shifts. If one of them became ill or died, then the other would be working around the clock until he was relieved. I would like to see one where they did two lighthouse keepers and they believe an evil entity is stalking them when in reality it's their madness due to being stuck in a confined area for a long period of time.
Actually, historically, it changed to three per lighthouse, purely because two was deemed too unsafe, and unreliable. Also two people isolated alone that long, it was considered risky for health and sanity reaons.
I honestly sort of miss the days where graphics were more representative of the idea of a thing than photo-realistic. Maybe it's just the nostalgia talking.
No more monkey pump fer you, me boyo! I thought the sound design was really good--especially the crushed shells/pebbles on the beach. Cool retro vibe, lots of tension, and enough twists to keep it interesting. I'd love to see the other endings. Does Ephraim finally get his steak? ツ
I'm sorta disapointed that your first ending is the shotgun ending. You didn't got to know what happened yo the previous keeper and you didn't saw what indeed lives under the lighthouse. Still, you got that shotgun pretty quickly, unlike other few I watched play this
While there are obvious differences; this game gives me some Horror of Fang Rock (4th Doctor story) vibes. Really like this one. Edit: Would love to see any other ending(s).
Mothman killed ... cut to outside of lighthouse, sound of gun cocking then gunshot then daylight ... what appears to be a man on the island ... a boat with 2 men on rowing TOWARDS the island, while in the background apparently the lighthouse collapses. The ending made no sense at all neither in itself or as an explanation or resolution for the rest of the game. Enjoyed the playthrough though.
Here I am 2 years after posting thinking I must be the only one confused about this! Haha my husband and I have been watching you for a long time and love your videos. We had to rewind to try to figure out what you said! 🤣
I really like the sound of the rocks underfoot, that is such an accurate crunch.
lmao
As awesome as it was to see you nail that ending first try, but the other endings are legit some of the best ever, they tie it in really deep, just so happens you got the ending that's "true" but also leaves a lot of emptiness, if you catch my drift. Good luck getting the other ones! :D
Best Not To Kill A Seabird, Chris
Hearing your voice while playing the playthroughs are like a source of comfort to my ears, especially when the games are crazy scary. Kinda makes the games less scary
Yer fond of me Lobster ain’t ye? 🦞
LET NEPTUNE STRIKE YE DEAD WINSLOW!
I knew people were gona talk about it XD

I'm excited to see the other ending, this is a very well-rounded horror game.
This ending is the newest I've seen. Cool. I didn't know they added the gun!
My wife has recently started watching your vids with me, ive been watching for around 2 years and have nearly gone through you back catalog. We wanted to know if you sell shirts or stickers or hats or anything for that matter cause we would love to support your channel. I think a hat is something that would be killer man.
Yesssss i want one!!
I know right?!? Get on it CJU! Your people have spoken!
Excited for the future of lighthouse horror, seems to be an emerging genre now
An hour-long video, what a treat! Great playthrough!
*Sees pouring rain* Welcome to Vvardenfell, Outlander!

Love these lighthouse-themed games. This one was amazing. Would like to see you play the other endings. Thanks, CJU!
this one looks very retro , but love lighthouses stories
I love these ominous build-up style games.

37:50 Wow this game even has a 2nd person perspective gameplay, a super rare perspective I saw only in one other game.

This one made me remember another play through of yours, which also happened in a lighthouse.
You are one of my favorite horror gamer. You put your mind and heart on when you play.
CJU, I wonder if they based on the *FLANNAN ISLES* mystery, *EILEAN MÓR*!! Such a cool story! Y’all should look it up.

Wow really love this game! The dev nails the slow pacing and built-up dread. Can't wait to see you get other endings!
oooooooo this one is a lot better than I expected! Can't wait to watch the other ending(s)

Dude I only found your channel a few days ago but I love it already! Sweet content dude and yes please another ending!!
An hour long CJU video in the middle of the day drops my productivity to 0. Thanks Chris!
Watching again after 1y, still good as i remember Chris 🥰
This is so good and I'm loving all the light house video games that have been coming out. This is the third or fourth I've seen. Love them all
This game creeped me out, I don't know what it is about these lighthouse games that make me feel so uneasy I'll definitely be having nightmares tonight 😳😳

I don't know why, but I literally bought this game in not even two minutes after clicking the video.
Played through it myself earlier this week, got all the endings and definitely worth to do!!
And yes please play to get another ending when you get a chance, I loved watching you play this!
Really enjoyed this. Great atmosphere and fun commentary. The scene with the moths all over the windows made me think of "Three Skeleton Key" with Vincent Price.... I hope you play through this game again so I can see the other endings. Excellent work! =)
Great game! Please go for the other endings!

YES KING PLS DO ANOTHER PLAY THRU THIS WAS DOPE AS HELL
It's a really cool story, I'd like to see another ending if there is one :)
No Lobsters, no screeching mermaid fantasies... 1/10 wouldn't recommend!
(great game though :D thanks for showing it to us!)
Kitty Cat KITTY!!!
@@Charelle250 Elle!!!

Wow! What a good game!!! I love the lovecraftian atmosphere.
Haven't finished the video yet but so far it seems to be far more worth my time than that dreadfully bad The Lighthouse film.
By all means play it again Sam!
This game is amazing!
And I was thinking "What a silly name for a game. Must be another "terrible indie horror game" Cju dug".
The developers got be proud of their work.
PLAY IT THROUGH AGAIN, Chris!
If you feel like it of course.
I am curious! Fantastic play through!
i love you and your video style so much, keep it up mu British buddy
Would love to see the other ending. I enjoyed this game!😁
This was pretty cool. Where do you find all of these unique games all of the damn time?!
Very creepy game, I liked it. I'm really curious about the 2nd ending!
Really enjoy watching you play horror games... wouldn't mind always seeing your face cam ;)
that " bye bye b*tch ! " out of nowhere was really funny !
I'm very excited for the other ending(s)! :)
This was really scary. Nice goose bumps🙃 Really enjoyed it.. 👍👍🥓👌😍
2nd person horror chase scenes is such an original idea!

Yes please on another ending!
I’m really curious for other endings!
I honestly sort of miss the days where graphics were more representative of the idea of a thing than photo-realistic. Maybe it's just the nostalgia talking.
I thought the exact same thing when I heard the breathing. Definitely from Goldeneye.
Working reflections? That’s actually bonkers.
No more monkey pump fer you, me boyo!

+OutlawRebel117: Simp.
an hour long indie game? fuck yeah
42:24 he doesn't notice the rope and the bags are black link ink!?
not bad, i can see why this is your favorite lighthouse game at the moment
That thing you saw was a hand reaching inward about 50 feet above the ground lol
this game is soooo cool!! it's so well made!
Love the play of the game. Would you be playing Follia: Dear Father?
Cool. Thanks once again.
22:24 Somehow it took me awhile to figure out that was the window washing noise. I thought a baby seal had washed up or something.
58:00 must be the assistant the guy was bringing.
That's what I was wondering. Or when do we kill the guy coming in a week thinking it's a monster from our isolation driving us crazy
When CJU mentions heavy breathing and you instantly think “slender man.”
CJ you should really play through the saw games I feel like you might like them
Those breathing sounds I think we're used in Miasmata
I’m only just starting it but I can swear to you at this very moment that someone does live under that lighthouse!!! 😰😰😰😰🤭
No... No one lives under the lighthouse. :O
@Tildi - 😂
yea itd be cool if you went through it one more time for a different ending.
Hark! Where be the all the swabbin' at?
truly special
Well if you’re not stark naked and standing in the windows I don’t want it.
58:34 really got me!
It looks like you can use the broom in the corner of the kitchen after the roof falls.
I'm sorta disapointed that your first ending is the shotgun ending.
You didn't got to know what happened yo the previous keeper and you didn't saw what indeed lives under the lighthouse.
Still, you got that shotgun pretty quickly, unlike other few I watched play this
this game should have been called "Anger the BEAST"
Damn I really like this game!!
sea bass doing all this over pickles
While there are obvious differences; this game gives me some Horror of Fang Rock (4th Doctor story) vibes. Really like this one.
Edit: Would love to see any other ending(s).
that was so good. loved it.
Reminds me of a disturbing movie i wached called the lighthouse. Were 2 people lost there minds
Pretty sure this is at least partially drawing from the lighthouse (original movie) as inspiration
I would love to see what happens if you do things differently.
like the The Lighthouse, 2019 Willem Dafoe/Spakles
I want to see more was a great game
19:34 me too XD good times.
Great success!!!
The chest moved
"Wikky juicies"? Cockney rhyming slang for "duties", maybe? I'll just watch the video now....
wickie duties, but good try :D
Here I am 2 years after posting thinking I must be the only one confused about this! Haha my husband and I have been watching you for a long time and love your videos. We had to rewind to try to figure out what you said! 🤣
Lmao the record on the last night blared horrendous distorted music *NO that's not happening* 🤣
Whats wrong with chris obsessing a ladder lol
