I played this on release with a bunch of people I knew from World of Warcraft. We were all in a guild in WoW and started up a guild in SWTOR also. Had a blast and was first time I really played a full on tank character. Was a nice feeling at first to have the guild want me as a main tank for raids all the time, but then it started to get stressful having to have such a strong role every weekend and be responsible for keeping people alive and mobs on me so healers had less to manage. Burned me out real fast. I loved the tanking and how well I could do it, but I doubt I could handle a major role like that all the time again.
Always love your content, inspired me to start my own channel and loving that you are giving swtor some attention and love in 2025 as it is a amazing game for all Star Wars nerds 😊. Have played on and off for years and always love returning to this amazing game.
Oh man this is awesome! I just posted my first Let's Play on my own channel and your video pops up in my feed! I have been playing Swtor on and off for a few years and only completed one story so far. I get very side-tracked by all the events and stuff, plus other games and well, life. I stepped away last year but I am finally starting it up again. So glad to see this video pop up:)
Id like to get into this but what is the incentive to play when everything is incredibly simple in the game? As in there isnt any real gameplay progression but just story progression.
Just redownloaded after a year long break, great timing for this video to drop! Cheers Renfail, thanks for all the videos over the years you rock!
Enjoy!
Love me some swtor. I hope some new people play because of this video. Also, will you stream some more WoW or post your raids?
I'm currently on hiatus from WOW
I have been playing SWTOR for years and enjoying it immensely. Hopefully it will continue for a long time, it still has a lot to offer.
It's got plenty of life left in it, and the new team is taking good care of it :)

Best of luck!
Just got back into this before Xmas and absolutely loving it
Indeed :)
Tbh SWTOR in 2025 is still fun I’m feeling quite optimistic about its future over the next two years
It's still got PLENTY of runway ahead of it :) Broadsword has been doing a great job the past couple of years since taking over.
@ fr
If you've never played? YES. Listen to the man, he knows what's up.
SO much value for new players.
And if i had played the game a few Years, u recommend to come back?
I usually go back every 18 months or so and get a good 2-3 months of content
I’m level 33. As I play throughout the game, will I go to every planet?
Yep
Very helfpul. So I don't need to pay any sub or so to play without limits?
There aren't really any limits to gameplay. It's mostly little fluff things that are convenience factors if you want to play full time.
@Renfail I see. I read that f2p players can reach only level 60.
@@mystic865 There are THOUSANDS of hours of FREE content between 1 and 60. Sounds like nitpicky to me.

Try it and see.
the class stories are definately worth it. corellia was a chore, and it only gets worse.
