Really about this experience. I'm am glad though as most of us won't get to take our last breathe surrounded by so many loved ones. Condolences to your entire family. Tell your wife the VC has you guys in our prayers.
Sorry to hear about your loss. My Uncle died a few months ago, he was in great health, only 65, and he was at a dance class and died on the dance floor while dancing with his girlfriend - a completely opposite account from yours - but a sober reminder that this can and will all disappear at a moments notice. I honestly don't remember if I have seen the moment from life to death of a human (certainly several animals) - but the one thing I know that is in common is you can feel a vacuum, almost a pulling - and I have felt this going into a room that I didn't realize someone died in there moments before but I sensed it (and without other people in there to tip me off). One reason why I have been losing weight is my Uncle's heart attack (and I have had another Uncle have a heart attack this year, and my mother is diabetic) - lost about 35lbs so far...
Yeah it's a strange experience I'm glad you're taking your health into your hands. I'm also glad me and the misses are taking steps to improve our health as well.
Sorry to hear about your wife's uncle. Hope your family's grief will pass in a reasonable amount of time & you remember all the good things this man brought in your life. Peace & Love!
Hard to talk about this kind of thing but seeing the "face of death" even in a sanitary way (hospital bed in your and my case) is a haunting experience that you never really forget. The last part reminded me of Shakespeare. Don't know if you're a fan but there is a great speech in Hamlet. "Alas, poor Yorrick. I knew him well..."
So sorry man 😔. My heartfelt condolences. I've been in your position before and will probably be there again in a few years with my dad. It's really tough. Hang in there man!
