One of my favorite clients to work with is Levenfeld Pearlstein in Chicago. LP hired me to create (about me) bio videos for their employees to help bring them into the hearts and minds of potential clients. We utilized LP's beautiful new office to it's full potential by filming towards the windows to show the city in the background. The wide shot was a Lumix S5 with a 35mm lens on a tripod and the close up was a Lumix S5 with an 85mm lens on an electronic slider. The slider really adds and extra dimension and feeling to the video to help connect better with the audience. I used my standard 3 point lighting with Godox VL300's on the key and back lights using Phottix Raja 150 softboxes. My fill light was a Neewer SL60 with a Neewer globe style softbox. I use a Sennheiser 416 microphone to capture crispy clear audio.
Each shoot only lasted about 5 minutes, so it doesn't take a huge amount of time out of everyone's day. We just schedule time slots 15 minutes apart to give some leeway in case anyone goes over their time. It was a super smooth and seamless process to cycle through 8 employees in just a few hours.
