High-level real world bowler here (Hold your applause, please). Getting a 3000 pin game is much, MUCH harder in Wii Bowling than getting a 300. The physics of Wii Bowling are fairly true to the pin physics of real life, and a slight variation in the contact of the ball into the first few pins is going to have a ripple effect throughout everything else, making it incredibly difficult to consistently strike. Your best bet if you ever want to try this again is to cross the ball over to the left side of the head pin as that will send all the pins in one direction (from left to right) maximizing the pin action and giving you the biggest chance of carrying all 100 pins. Hitting the pins in a traditional strike method when there's that many pins sends them in two opposite directions, meaning that if the pins get missed by the first "wave" there's little chance a secondary scatter of pins is going to hit them.
Just in case somebody was wondering, this may have seemed easier because of the number of pins. In real bowling, a big part of the game is pin action, which is a fancy term for the pins bumping into each other. More pins mean more pin action, which is why it may have seemed easier. And Poofesure mentioned it in the video briefly, but the ideal area to hit the pins is in the pocket, or between the front pin and one of the second-row pins. Edit: For right-handers, this is on the right, and for lefties on the left. Both sides can hit Brooklyn (the opposite side), but it will usually result in fewer strikes, even if the ball hits the pocket.
