Yes we had tens of miles like that, ours were battery powered though not diesel and we were over 1000m down. In ours the big pipes in the roof on the left were methane extraction and compressed air, the small cables were communications and signalling, the big cables would be high voltage power supply and the pipe on the ground for water.
Marshall County coal mine didn’t start rib pinning until 2004. The outby area of the mine were mined way before 2004, so this cannot be Marshall County Mine. Also, there is no 6 belt at Marshall County (McElroy). I have worked for 15 years at that mine and know it quite well.
I'm watching this in the safety of my home with electricity provided by coal. Thank you to the men who risk so much to make this possible. Respect.
