I made a GINORMOUS haul at a sale this past summer. The lady who passed 😔 didn’t even know all she had. I’m STILL going through it all; finding soooo many Spellbinders, TH, and other dies (some duplicates) still in the packages!! There was just way too much stuff to go through, so I made an offer of $200 for the lot, and they accepted!🎉. But now I realize I hauled in close to $5-6K worth of crafty products/ complete with/in the white plastic rolling carts with drawers- 22 of them!!! Mind keeps getting blown 😮
Wowza! I would have had to make an offer for the whole house. This haul was from a lady who had a craft business. It was amazing! I tried to inquire what they do with whatever didn’t sell. They wouldn’t let me make an offer for any of it. 😪
I just started following you on RUclips, i love the way you organize your stamps, dies and embossing folders. I have many different sizes of all of these. I am wondering if you could please do a more in-depth video on your organization. You use the number system but I am just not sure exactly how it works. The embossing folder i have are all different sizes and i am not sure about marking and organizing all my stuff. I have started making copies of my stamps and dies but just want to make sure that i am doing it all right before I start my binders. Thank you in advance Michelle
Hi, Michelle! I simply give the next item I’m going to store the next number. I started with 1 and am up to some ridiculous number over 300. Did you watch this: Tame your craft supplies: Organizing Stamps & Dies ruclips.net/video/WgNM88Gsz68/видео.html. I have an organization playlist, as well. Let me know if you need any further help. Thank you reaching out to me. I’m glad you are enjoying my videos! ❤️
I just saw a fabulous idea the other day. Laminate your color charts and use them for a stencil/ink blending mat. Lowvtack double sided tape will keep your project on it.
I wonder why you use the notebook instead of JUST using the computer program. The program can sort into categories and list the storage location as well as show a picture. (Maybe the other video I saw was older). I’d like to change to that program, but I would never get to craft again trying to input all my stuff! lol! I use excel spreadsheets…one for each type of craft item ( tools, dies, etc). Items are listed alphabetically by manufacturer, then by name. I can access it via the cloud when I’m out shopping. I started a notebook similar to yours (pre-computers), but just for the images and sentiments (if you don’t have much they are easy to find!). Thank you for all your great videos and techniques. Very much appreciated…
Where to start?? Well, I am strictly an Apple/Mac user. If you are generally using Excel, then you are most likely using a PC which is vastly different when it comes to storage. I have to use 2 external hard drives as it is. We have something similar in Pages. I do use a web-based excel-like program called AirTable. Once again, storage becomes an issue. Any way, I prefer my binder system. It's as simple as that. I have very poor vision, and the binder is much easier for me to see. My AirTable comes in handy when I want to look for a specific item...especially while shopping (although we all know that really doesn't matter these days since most places are gone or worse...got rid of paper crafting!).
@@villagecardandcrafts I thought they had excel for Mac’s? I have an iPhone, but could never ‘get’ a Mac. Too many years at work using a PC to learn it all over. I use the Microsoft cloud, but I would assume the iCloud would be accessible for the storage. Maybe you have to pay extra for it. I understand about tiny images on phones and computer screens! Sometimes it helps to see the image size vs a thumbnail too. Thanks for answering.
I am so inspired by your incredible finds! I live in a big city so I should be able to find a great estate sale. Thanks for the freebies. Great info. Love your channel. Keep making your videos ❤
Hello! Sorry, I confused you! This was a 2nd video (part 2) of a huge estate sale I went to. Since there was so much inventory, I included some resources on organization. Thank you for watching! 😊
Ah interesting! Estate sales are run by companies where the people want all belonging sold. They come in and sort everything, price, and man the sale. They typically take a 30% proceed. My grandparents moved and wanted the remaining items gone. They hired estate sale people to take care of it. Sales can also be when someone passes away and the family doesn’t want or can’t deal with the deceased items. This particular sale the owner of the home had passed suddenly. The family didn’t have any idea how to cope with her extensive craft collection since that was her business. I hope this helps.
I’m sorry I confused you! This was part 2 of a 3 part estate sale craft haul. Some of my subscribers asked for more value from haul- type videos, so I included how to keep all of your supplies inventoried or organized. Thank you!
What crafty organizers will you try?
Learned anew things. Thank you for sharing.❤
That’s terrific! Thank you! ❤️
I have subscribed to Altenew for years and never checked out their website. This was GOLD for me so thank you, thank you, thank you!
You are so welcome! I’m glad it was helpful! 😀

@@villagecardandcrafts oh, that’s too bad. I sure hope they at least found a good home for the leftovers, and not three them away!
“threw” them away ( daggone spellchk😂)
Gets me every time 😂. They said they donate some and toss the rest. Made me so mad!

I wish I could find an estate sale! What great value for fun stuff!
Thank you very much! 😊

I’m definitely going to check out Airtable. Never heard of it; thx for sharing with us!
I really like that I can use the app when I’m shopping so I don’t duplicate. Hope you like it, too!
Such a cool way to do a haul. I’ve never seen one with the added benefits.
Thank you very much! 💕
I enjoy your craft haul videos! Would love to luck out on some bargains like those. Thanks for sharing.

This is my first video of yours. I really enjoyed it. But was curious where did you get your craft haul from?

Don't mind me asking, but what is an estate sale? I don't think we have these in my country.

Thank you so much for this long explanation, now I know what you're talking about. And as I said, we don't have that in the Netherlands.
Unfortunately you overpaid for the Picket Fence brushes… they are just makeup brushes repurposed by the craft industry and can be found cheaper xxxx
Thank you. I do have others that work pretty well. Got those on Amazon but wanted a set for my dye inks. Thank you for letting me know. 😊
Kind of lost. You talk about free resources, then suddenly talk about bargain products. Where do the bargain items come from?
