  • Old TV commercial from 1968 featuring some of the cast from Bewitched for Kodak Instamatic cameras. Featured is Elizabeth Montgomery as Samantha, Agnes Moorehead as Endora, and the Kodak Instamatic 124 as herself. Bewitched ran from 1964 to 1972 for 8 seasons. The Kodak Instamatic 124 was released in 1968 and ended production in 1971. Just adding a little piece of vintage art to my channel dedicated to Kodak cameras.

    When I was a little boy I remembered my parents got one. I still have a picture my dad took of me setting back in a chair on my 13th birthday. I remember him saying like it was yesterday Happy birthday son. a lot of good memories. Now both my parents are dead and one of my sisters from suicide. I would trade everything I own just to spend one more day with them.

      What do you expect from 126 film format? The quality of this film was poor, regardless of the camera. If you wanted an easy camera that produced high quality prints, you had to buy a Polaroid.

    • @scooper4981
      @scooper4981 2 года назад

      @@Nikes62 I had a Minolta from the late 1960s that used the 126 film cartridge. I mostly shot slide/transparency film and, in many cases, the photos turned out very well. Shooting print film . . . not so much. One key was to slowly squeeze the shutter button, rather than pushing it down hard, which would move the camera just as the shutter opened, blurring the image.

    This commerical brought back good memories during that age. About the sixth grade I used my meager monies to buy a little Kodack camera and took pictures of family that only visited once a year to our farm. The rest of the pics were of livestock, barns, tractors, etc. My parents rarely took pictures and hated to pay for processing, but they finally did that for my birthday. There were some great pictures by chance, and all the visiting relatives took them for themselves when they returned. Left me a little heart broken when my parents made me give them up.

      Religious comments on RUclips threads are counterproductive to your cause of spreading the Gospel, because they are out of place and end up turning people off, not inspiring them to listen. It's spam, is what it is.

    Bought, why not just conjure it?

    • @michaelgrant7322
      @michaelgrant7322 3 года назад

      That WAS the commercial joke... They could just whip up a photograph of each other with witchcraft, and in some episodes they did just that.... But here the ad gimmick was "For Mortals, they can now take a picture as easy as using witchcraft" ☺

    • @Cosmo-Kramer

      Interesting work usage: conjure. I don't recall Sam, Endora, Derwood, or any character on the show ever use that word to describe the act of making something magically appear with witchcraft.

      @@Cosmo-Kramer They used it... They used it jokingingly... Darrin used to say rudely when Endora would bring her daughter a gift from somewhere "And what's in the box now Endora, something you Conjured up from bats wings and eels eyes" (it seemed to be his way to down her expensive elaborate gifts she would bring her daughter from different parts of the world BECAUSE he could not ever afford to buy gifts like that for his wife)

      @@michaelgrant7322 Gotcha. Okay, I can hear Derwood saying that. But did any of the witches or warlocks use the word? I don't remember it being part of their vernacular.

      @@Cosmo-Kramer I can't remember... But IF they DID... it would probably be in either season 1 or 2 (because those were the most controversial seasons, before tv started becoming more "cafeteria") Like I remember Samantha being so angry because every friend Samantha would bring over to have coffee and chat with, he immediately accused her of it being ANOTHER WITCH (even if it was just a mortal friend) .. So she stared at him in the eye and said very seriously "ALRIGHT YOUR RIGHT, ALL MY FRIENDS ARE WITCHES DARRIN, AND WE ARE JUST PLANNING THE RIGHT TIME TO SWOOP DOWN HERE ON MORNING GLORY CIRCLE AND CLAIM IT IN THE NAME OF BEHELLZABOB" (then proceeded to use her witchcraft to open the oven, magically check her roast, baste it by levetating the baster, and putting it back in) The whole time he just had his eyes 👀 wide open looking scared 😨 hahahaha

    They couldn't get permission to use the witch sound effects. How odd.

      That's weird because they used the characters, the set, but just no pop in mingle!!!!

    • @michaelgrant7322
      @michaelgrant7322 3 года назад

      That's not necessarily true... It's more likely that the COMMERCIALS were filmed independently by the sponsors hired production who film tv commercials ... Not the show's production company... And the sponsors commercial company didn't even think about adding the show's sound effects.. Probably didn't seem important to them at the time... WHILE OTHER COMMERCIAL COMPANYS that sponsored BEWITCHED like "Clairol Hair Spray" of which there is another Samantha commercial floating around I saw.. DID bother to add the sound effects on their company's commercials...
