What we know about Utah's PGA Tour event: Black Desert Championship (October, 2024)

In the coming weeks, crews will start working on the grandstands and hospitality structures for the upcoming Black Desert Championship. Patrick Manning, with Black Desert Resort talks about the construction, parking, yardage, PGA Tour guidance and EVEN 'who' will hand off the championship trophy!

It is a beautiful resort and course. So, 40,000 total attendees are expected. What is the ratio of local to non-locals expected to attend per day? And with only 450 rooms on the property completed, does St George have enough hotel rooms to accommodate the attendees? Will Cedar City, Mesquite potentially pick up the slack with hotel rooms? With 10s of thousands staying around St George rather than at the resort, is there a traffic plan for that?
