    Good vid, Nich, very informative. I've completely changed my video method from Canon camera or JVC camcorder to just my tablet. Balances nicely on an outstretched architect's ruler and no tripod hassles and pic and sound are good. Btw, left a comment a month or so ago on your artist-in-residence page on redbubble wondering how things were going. I'm no longer a member there, was for a few years but left. Catch you later :)

      Thanks! It's interesting to find out what's easier/better to use sometimes! OH! I haven't checked that out, I don't get notifications for them :( I'll take a look for it tomorrow :) But yes - it's going really good and I'm working on some content to publish on my own channel that's better and more different than anything else I've ever done :)

    omgggg ive recently changed to a camcorder from my DSLR for timelapses. ive ran into so many quality issues since then though! i completely agree with what you say about DSLRS only filming 10mins at a time which is annoying af! and they overheat if you want them filming over long periods of time... however their quality is MILES better than camcorders and they dont have a problem with white balance which is what im currently running into!!!! absolute nightmare. I use a Canon Legria and i hate it hahaha its great to be able to film continously without any issues on that sense, but the quality as decresed and it just doesnt do well with temperature in lighting. i use natural sunlight to film my work (overcast days are the best). ive tried artificial lighting but since i use prismacolor pencils they have a horrible sheen which is easily reflected if its not natural all-round lighting. so, what im trying to ask is have you had any issues with quality and white balance with your JVC camcorder? im desperate to find a new camera!!

      i was thinking of getting a bridge mirrorless camera so i could get the benefits back from the DSLR, like high quality and no issues with WB, but they apparently all still overheat and only film up to 10/20mins :(

    This was filmed two years ago .. have your methods changed at all? 🤔 I’m curious because I want to start time lapse for my art

      Nope - not really. I have switched to Davinci Resolve for editing though. I would recommend using your phone if it has timelapse mode!

      @@AShowAboutArt Is DaVinci a better choice than premier pro for a first timer such as myself? I've been using iMovie for a couple weeks so don't have any other editing software experience. Cheers Tom

    • @AShowAboutArt
      @AShowAboutArt  3 года назад +1

      @@jtr4405 DaVinci Resolve isn't the easiest editing platform to learn. But at the same time it's not super straightforward to go from Premier to Resolve either. If you want the benefits of a free editing software as powerful as Premier, go for DaVinci. Premier is the way to go if you don't mind a never ending subscription 😉
