The Wildcats have spent the entire 2009-10 season in the top 10 of the ACHA West Region. They finished No. 2 in the region and No. 13 in the country in 2008-09. From 2000-2005 the Wildcats finished in the top four in the country in four of those five seasons, including a No. 2 finish in 2001 after losing in the national championship game.
