I have been trying to get myself set as the key user on my Q5 and have not been able to do so even after being verified. I have tried getting help with my sales dealer, another dealer near home and am still waiting for a resolution.
Same here man! The struggle is real. You'd think the dealer would be able to help us and provide good support, but it's really terrible the hurdles they make you jump through. I'm going to attempt to call the support number again tomorrow.
I bought a 2023 A3 and have tried multiple times to set the key user. I get the same message every time I enter the vehicle code: "Setting the key user. Please wait ..." But it doesn't matter how long you wait. It never sets.
I went through the initial process for key user, etc. on my 2024 Q3… I did not request the dealer to set it up further however, that’s what I was told that I did, but I did not, so I can’t go any further regarding the connection unless I go back to the dealer very difficult instructions very time-consuming, aggravating.
@@sndashko no basically the dealer told me they phased them out and that you don’t need it, that once you get into the MMI you can access everything but I still can’t get into the MMI so I have no idea that’s that’s true or not. I think by them setting you as the owner on their end. It’s also setting you as the key user eliminating the need for the 10 digit code.

The Audi Connect is garbage. I have a 2022 Q5 and pay the $50 a month for the Connect plus and it always throttles the internet down to 0.25Mbps. I have full LTE bars. A new statement doesn't remove the throttling. I hardly ever use data and I can't even listen to Amazon compressed music, songs always pause. I called support many times and they either don't answer or don't have solutions. Audi is a garbage company.
They make you PAY for the navigation feature, too. It's GPS. My 2003 S-Class had CD's that you put in the dash and they still worked and gave you location. My iPhone has GPS. I was so mad: "Navigation License Not Purchased" - Thank god for Apple CarPlay
@@stevewaters4158 I don't pay a subscription with the navigation. I bought the Prestige Model. I actually use that instead of my phone so I can have the maps on my virtual cockpit and my heads up display. I created automations on my phone so I can send it to my car when I have a location on my calendar. If I don't pay for the subscription, I still have all those features.

Audi needs to make there parts quit costing a arm and a leg especially for audis around the 2009 era. Bmw parts and service dont cost nowhere near audis stuff. Its insane . Thousands to fix most things next that dam intake that should of been recalled on the s6v10 make it available and make it not cost a million and one dollars. These cars will all end up sadly in a junk yard because it cost to dam much to fix. That certainly wont make me want to buy a new one either. If people cannot get parts for older cars why buy any audi. Price for parts is way way to high. Its not gold
This never works. I get an error when I try to set key user in my 2022 S5.
Did you ever get yours fixed/connected?
Have no valuable help, but nice car !

my dealer is saying the vehicle code is in the app- I don't have a card. Anyone know where I find it?

does the audi etron use phone as key to drive?
Audi got to be the worse vehicle to set up IPhone. No other luxury car has many errors while trying a simple permanent set up

It asks me to enter PIN every single time I get into the car. It's annoying. Did not use to happen with my 2022 BMW.
You can turn this off by going into "Users" on the MMI, select a user, and from there you'll be able to disable PIN protection :)
