Thank you, Thank you again. Our family roots are in Goldfield, My grand mother was the first child born there Jan. 1, 1900. Too bad you didn't go in to the Santa fa saloon. there are pictures on the wall inside of my grandmothers family. I have spread my dads ashes across the hill side up on the hills behind the Santa Fa. It was nice to see how the town has changed and not changed since I was last there about 20 years ago. Safe travels, and thank you again. From the Watterson family.
Dave, I don't usually comment on videos but your journey to bring Panda home has me fascinated. Today's video of you going through the mining town, examining the old equipment and vehicles has been balm for my soul. I love your obvious love of these things and I want to thank you for taking us on the discovery with you. Onward bound indeed!!!
Dave, My husband died in 2010. Every time you showed an old machine, I thought he would've loved to have seen that. I think you are handling things superbly. Thank you
Thanks for stopping at all the cool old mining equipment and showing us around. I loved seeing all that! You’re doing a great job at keeping Panda going on her journey! You’re a good guy! Safe travels on the rest of your trip 😊
I love to see all that cool old equipment even though I don't know how most of it was used. I loved even more how excited you were seeing it and knowing you were getting a little "fun time" during this stressful trip. Godspeed to you, Bella and Panda. Blessings, Helen
Just a suggestion, quit adding plain water in the radiator. It will boil out and cause the engine to run hot. Ad antifreeze/coolant only, it is better and won't boil. Good luck
Hmmm. There are allot of good reasons to run a mix or premix antifreeze. Antifreeze has corrosion inhibitors and chemistry that keeps the water pump happy. And glycol based antifreeze has a higher vapor pressure than water, about twice, so yeah it has a much higher boiling point than water. But glycol also has about half the specific heat was water does. That is it moves about half the amount of heat per unit mass as water. In a typical application with a 15psi radiator cap water will boil at about 250 F, 50/50 mix will boil at something close to 300 F. But water will run about 10 degrees cooler, because it’s transferring heat more effectively. I would not be surprised if Panda had a 20psi radiator cap common in allot of trucks, which would raise the boiling point to about 265 F. For most racing applications water is usually preferred, because an engine that always runs a few degrees cooler will be cheaper to overhaul. Though you need to add a product like wet water which has corrosion inhibitors and chemicals to keep water pumps happy, with the added benefit of reducing surface tension of water making everything more efficient. But Dave isn’t running straight water, he is just diluting the mix when he adds water, which is fine for what he’s doing.
They may be trying to get Panda to its new home. But I'd rather pay a few extra dollars for coolant, to keep it from boiling and building enough pressure to blow a hose or crack a head. Then you either have to pay alot more to fix it or tow it.
Thanks Dave for stopping and showing what makes you happy in your travels that was awesome to see a lot of the old Mining and train equipment and for taking us along on your journey to get Panda home y'all take care and be safe and we'll see you on the next installment
Dave, I'm convinced that YOU are being looked after by the holy chaperones! You are surrounded by good favor and blessings from above. I'm sure it has much to do with your good heart! It's easy to see, that you are a shinning star! Thanks for stopping and checking out some history. The antiques were awesome to see! Stay safe, and sweet dreams. God bless.
I get such a kick out of you. You are like a kid that says just 10 more minutes mom. That old railroad and mining stuff is so interesting. Loved the Saloon and old trucks. My dad had an old Dodge Power-wagon years ago. Such a cool stop Dave. Thanks for sharing. You are getting closer and closer to your destination. Panda will make it on her own power. 👍💕🤗
You are a truly great man and great friend to undertake this journey to help out a friend. I would be honored and proud to call you a friend if we ever meet!
Dave, You're doing a great job. Ausia is so blessed to have your friendship, and vise-versa. Been watching since you adopted Bella. Your channel has your unique take on things. Makes it interesting. Thanks for including us along your journey.
I hope that by the time you are reading this, you will be at you destination. Most of the area you have ahead of you will be much cooler by this time. I saw Vegas with a high of 80 in the coming week. Hope the cool weather caught up with you in time to be of benefit to you. Good thing that you discovered that bad oil pump in time! As long as the oil pressure is up, the crankshaft and cam/valve train bearings should survive! You're probably burning the oil past the rings and the valve guides. Very interesting old places. The old useless scrap iron is now decoration and interesting artifacts. What stories they could tell. Thanks for taking us along.
You’re doing a great job with Panda, Dave. Panda’s Journey Home has become an epic road trip. I’m definitely enjoying the videos you’re posting. It’s been fun to travel with you and Bella. You’ll deserve a hero’s welcome when you get back to Ausia’s property.🎉🍾🥰
I enjoyed the sites of the old town and toys. My granddaddy lived in a big old house that had been in the family for generations. He had a lot of old broken down car, trucks, tractors and buggies that had been used around the land. Us kids loved to play on the old rusty pieces. There were old pony stalls along one end of the property and big old barn with a tack room and stalls for horses, cows and pigs. We loved to play around up there. Now, the upstairs of that big old house was creepy! Granddaddy was the magistrate of the little town for 30 yrs or so. He held court in the front room of the house. That was scary to see the police bring handcuffed men to the house during the week. Brings back some old memories! HUGS~Donna
I like how they put items of interest out for people to see.. not even weeds grow there most places... i remember someone set up an old ph9nograph to play records and this kid was mesmerized as to how you get music from a flat record and a needle?? We all got a new liok at life.
That agatatung washhing machine was a ho9t as i helped grandma use hers... when it finally broke down she b9ught another from Montgomeryward catalog! No modern machine for her!
Those old rusted out pieces of scrap metal sure look different when you see them through someone else's eyes. They really take you back in time to a place you've never been! Great video!
We stayed in Goldfield NV A year ago for 7 days for $100.00 with full hook ups on 50 amp electric. The place had one RV site located next to a Brothel that was being rebuilt. The owner was a great guy...and the donkeys were respectful. Safe and happy travels to you.
I want that little steam train too! I'm a big steam train fan. Enjoyed all the cool old vehicles and machinery. Thanks For sharing. Adding Goldfield NV to my bucket list.
Dave you like rust! Oh I mean history! Bella...if you gotta go, you gotta go! Am proud of your progress getting this precious Panda down to the property....will be sad when this adventure ends...
Great video. Love seeing things like that. I have been following the history of where I grew up. Had no clue about all the things we discovered behind our home and around the surrounding area. We just had a big article in the paper trying to get the old railroad car diner fixed from the 1950's. Cindy Lauper shot her MTV video at the diner and around the town for her big hit "Time After Time." in 1983. Ledgewood, and Wharton NJ. Find it amazing the equipment they built in the 1800 . Thanks for the travels.😊💃
Loved seeing all the old stuff especially the Saloon... awesome! Thank you for sharing that with us! You’re doin great Dave! You’re almost there! Stay safe! Blessings to you and Bella!🙏♥️ You got this!! Onward Bound!
Good afternoon Dave & Bella!! It’s wonderful seeing that you are finally getting quite a few miles behind you so you can reach your destination and finally get some much needed rest and relaxation . I just always love ❤️ those places you visited in the lost old west ghost towns, and very nice wagon and train, along with a saloon. I think it’s great preserving much of the old west which time seems to have forgotten yet those who wish to preserve what little remains of the good ole days. You can definitely just rewind back 100+ plus years ago and just picture what life was like during those days. Well safe travels and looking forward to seeing some more good ole west ghost towns. Great video and thanks for sure for taking the time to stop and show everyone what all you did. Much love ❤️ to Bella and glad the Panda is doing well !!! Sorry for my lengthy comment but had lots to say my friend. Until next time, later. Wishing you the best of luck until you reach Arizona. Where in Arizona do you have to go? ❤️❤️u Bella The Bounder and Panda. The Bounder will be happy to see you and Bella again!! 👍👍👍👍😊😊😊❤️❤️
Even though Panda has a drinking problem! I admire your dedication to her. safe travels amigo.
Friends like you are one in a million. Dave!!
What a awesome trip back in history!

I was thinking the same thing about my brother who passed at Christmas. He would have just gone nuts in that town!
Love the history & old stuff. So glad the battery lasted.

So true, it really does need the anti-freeze.!!!
True but it's due for an engine replacement and they are just trying to get it home.

@@hoss1003 I agree with you, don't destroy. the engine over a $4.99 additive. that was left out.
It's not a job it's an adventure. Everything after this trip will be before Panda and after Panda adventures. Happy trails
I’m enjoying your travels and I’m glad you are taking a few minutes to enjoy the sites. 🤞😎
