Do you know why Putri fights so hard for equality for the diables? Putri said that her biggest challenge was that people only see her as a blind person and not as a musician. Putri has come a long way fighting against discrimination against disabled people like her. When Putri was about six, she took part in a singing competition in her hometown. However, she ended up in the last place. The judges of the local competition told Putri that her English pronunciation was bad and that her voice was pitchy. Their comments discouraged Putri so much that for a year afterward, she stopped singing. Then, one day, coming to her senses, she told her father that she wanted to perform on TV. Having always supported Putri, her parents signed Putri up to IGT. Putri didn't take part in IGT to win it, rather to make people recognize her talents. In 2017, Putri was invited to join The Voice Kids Indonesia. She received so much hate comments that the comment sections of the competition had to be closed. Unfortunately, Putri didn't win the competition. You should watch Putri's performance in the Voice Kids Indonesia, especially when she performed "Somebody to Love." In my humble opinion, Putri performed very well, so she should have proceeded to the next round. However, Putri was voted out, but since I did not see the other contestants' performance , I can not say if Putri was treated unfairly by the judges. Putri has always set the bar really high for herself. She chose extremely difficult songs to sing even for adult singers: Listen, My Heart Will Go On, Don't You Remember, Secret Love Song and Somebody to Love. People's vicious comments and criticism on her voice spurred Putri to be a perfectionist. Over the years, Putri honned in her singing skills. I think that the reason why Putri joined AGT was because she thought that Americans would be able to see her talents beyond her blindness (Kodi won AGT in 2014 afterall). However, life continued to serve Putri, another blow. Even with her perfect performance, Putri still lost to a clever dog😢. Einstein once said that if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, then it will spend its life believing that it was incapable. It's the same with AGT. How can people with different abilities compete against each other? How can a fish compete against a monkey and a turtle? How can AGT leave the judgment to the public? There were much bigger force at play here for Putri's loss. Being foreign and a Muslin girl, AGT voters are mostly bias or making unintelligent choices.I was surprised that she will sing the U2 song since that has a lot to do with Christianity ( that was given to her by AGT ) Putri did managed to get the exposure she needed but her road to global stardom will not be easy nor smooth.

It was indeed dissapointing, but she decided to move on and started to her routine .. covering songs as her daily vocal training and had been continuing her project to release single on October or November. She truly has a great and big heart to everything that happen to her. She never, as she keep saying in many moments, that she never let anything get her down and stop her from reaching her dreams. So, let us move on from such dissappointing moment and keep supporting her in achieving her dreams.
