I appreciate you doing the product reviews on the JRLs. I’m in the market for new tools, I’ve used every stylecraft clipper and I’m leaning towards the onyx. The thing holding me up has been the trimmer. So thanks for this
Of course! Ive been on the same boat lately. Trimmers these days i feel are way harder to find good ones worth the money. A LOT of the times in my opinion, are mostly dependent on the blade and not the actual machine itself. So your best and cheapest rout from my experience is focus more on purchasing a NEW blade instead of the whole timmer 🫡
@KriispyKing I did! I just put a new one cutter on my saber and rebel trimmers. It could be the texture but sometimes I feel like they just don't hit. Mostly around the back of the ear with the line going down the neck. It could also be the hairs a longer in that area. But I want something that's gonna punch through it. That and I like my clipper and trimmer brand to match, and the jrl is what I want to try next the most.
Ngl Im not a fan or jrl trimmers for lining up purposes but man do these things melt bulk. If you want a cheaper version of a cordless balding clipper use these just for balding out. Fastest trimmer ive ever used at balding out and its buttery smooth on the skin too. Probably cause they use the clipper motor from the 2020c in these things. I dont put harsh bald lines in so I normally scoop my bald line and these are beautiful for that.
Man yall new era barbers are driving me nuts with this Paint shit . Yall can't do a dope line up without spraying the client . No confidence in natural skills
@jeremyc9840 i know right. These new aged barbers are trash. Freaking dumb that they can be fully booked up every week with no confidence in their craft.
Exactly the same for me. Out of the box the trimmer was much too sharp and very uncomfortable. and I could never get the blade to adjust correctly. That’s the only one who did that to me. Very disappointed also with the shaver. 1 blade which is much too big and doesn’t cut like an babyliss UV or FX3. For me they are not equivalent to the awesome clipper
@@youclement8124 yea me too. I'm going to try the tension mod someone posted 2 years ago where they push up the plastic against the bar to make the cutting blade move better.
4:19 I wanna see how you did this hair cut

Literally, all i use these for is to bald out with. 🔥🔥
What’s the difference from the ghost and onyx clippers and trimmers
The colour only
How did you push them back? I tried to but the blade ended up over the stationary blade and I can’t push the blade back now
Now you gotta take the whole blade off. Unscrew the two screws on metal wire . Push cutting blade back. Tight screws and start over.
@@KriispyKingyeah I found it strange that the adjustment tool only allows you to push the blade up and no easy way to push it back down.
💯
Do they get dirty Even with gloves on?
YESSSSSS!

This blade is mid fam. Gonna take em to my local sharpen shop
I agree. Not my go to either. But in comparison to the original trimmer blade, Its a night and day different. GREAT FOR BALDING OUT !

JRL trimmers don’t hit for shit
🤣🤣🤣 I promise the new blades are 1000x better than the original blades.

I got the JRL ghost they definitely not a one all. Good on certain textures only. Still trying to play with them to get them to hit on me to no avail
@@itshim2197 I wanted to love him so much because that’s a beautiful trimmer… 😔
