와.. ㅈㅅ 버전과 비교해보니 나인우가 얼마나 잘 살렸는지 더 알겠다. 나인우 표정 디테일이 장난 없음 🤯. ㅈㅅ는 그냥 무표정한 동네 깡패처럼 건들거리면서 어이~ 하는 반면, 나인우는 빙구처럼 해맑게 웃으면서 다가와선 능청스럽게 대응함. 그래서 마음은 순박하지만 힘은 장사인, 정말 온달 캐릭으로 보임. 0:36에 도적들 말 따라하는 것도 정말 온달스럽고. 0:53의 "아프지? 쟤도 아퍼.." 이 부분도 ㅈㅅ 버전과 다르게 생동감 있게 표현함. 1:46의 가진의 무예 보고 놀라서 바보같이 눈 꿈뻑 거리는 것도, ㅈㅅ가 그낭 탄성만 내뱉은 것과 다름. 2:32의 "나 너 알아"도 나인우 버전은 왠 순둥한 애가 나 아는 척하는 느낌이라면, ㅈㅅ 버전은 왠 건달한테 걸린 느낌임. 내가 연기 지망생이었으면 이거 하나씩 비교해가면서 스터디해보고 싶을 정도.
More well known actors turning down roles is often how less known actors get their chance. This case is different of course, but I don't think NIW would have had the chance to be cast as Ondal from the start. Indeed, I believe it is the success of his performance in Mr. Queen, that proved he was capable of taking over this role. And he came fresh off of a highly rated drama, which boosted him as well. This is how it was meant to happen 😃
Agree I don’t think he was ever considered to play Ondal, but I also think he wasn’t interested to audition for the role in the first place since when the casting period of this drama he was already busy filming Queen Cheorin/Mr. Queen. QC took around 7 months of filming + many months of training and just ended the filming around January if I’m not mistaken. When RWTMR aired I still don’t think he & VC ever thought of playing any character in the drama since he started filming for Her Bucket List in Feb. It wasn’t until the scandal broke that his name come to light, even that was thanks to knetz. So yep, everything happened for a reason. It’s just fate maybe.
What i like from the new ondal is his purity, innocence, and gentleness side that I don't see from the previous actor. And... We get extra bonus, his cuteness, hihi 😁🤭 he's sooo adorable~♡ I smile everytime he smiles 🥰
I really need to see this. Viki, get moving on it! Na In Woo gives On Dal such a refreshing innocence that it is such a pleasure to see. Yet, the innocence does not take away his manliness. I am going to watch this drama in its entirety again once all episodes are done. Those who stopped watching? Your loss.

They didn't just finished refilming, ep 7-20 they also refilmed the first 6 episodes! Professionalism at its finest 👏 kudos to all the casts and staff who worked really hard for this drama. Though the SoKor ratings are mostly average, we, international fans are thankful for your hardwork!!! Can't wait to see you on your next projects!!
