For the edge flakes, spray a little water. It should do the trick. I always spray with a little spritz water on first before all my edge controls.

The smoothie has been reformulated at least twice, possibly more. And that was before the company was sold because this product is just that old. So, at this point, 🤷🏾♀️ you either like it or you don’t.

I never really used that line because my hair never liked the curl enhancing smoothie. My hair preferred the Jamaican Black Castor Oil line, the leave-in was my favorite. Until they changed the formula 3 or 4 times. 😅
Lol yeah you just never know with this brand. Things are always being reformulated lol 😂

They have a new jbco gel also. The hibiscus one flaked on me horribly. I did the mix test first also. It went on so well and smells great. I am thinking about trying it without a leave in

It's flaking for me too. I thought about trying it by itself. I might just through it in the trash. I hate flaking

I know this was from a year ago. Both versions flaked using on its own and with the matching smoothie.
I still have full jars. I decided to use it with Camilla Rose Honey Hair Conditioner and that helped. Not perfect but huge improvement so that I can at least finish both jars.

Beautiful 😍 I had not heard about this gel until watching your video. 🤗 I feel like I am constantly looking for a gel (with clean ingredients) that will keep my curls lookin defined after working out( at the gym). I workout 6 days a week and by day 4 my curl definition starts looking like a Q-tip😂 . Any suggestions?

This product flaked so much. I had flakes all over my bed. It does give good definition and the hold is light for me. So it might not last too long. Just the flaking is horrible
I think I may have gotten some flaking around day 2 or 3! 💕
I just picked up the defining gel and curl enhancing smoothing. I’m going to mix them and see what happens

I’ve been looking for a review on this I saw they dropped a few new products the jbco line has a smoothie and gel now! I wasn’t a fan of the soufflé either I bought it and it was like jello 😂

How do you persevere this style?
At this short length sometimes I just go to bed with 2-4 pigtails. But when my hair was long I would do a pineapple! 😍
Could anyone advise if this product would work as a gel for styling straight hair into a clean/sleek bun?
I'm on the hunt for healthier gels/hold products for putting my hair up every day, because the gels I have have been killing my hair. All the products that pop up in my searches for natural/organic/healthy products are indicated for curly hair- and I don't know if the hold levels translate to different styling techniques/hair types. My hair is straight, but thick and coarse with tons of flyaways, and keeping it looking professional at work is so difficult without some sort of hold product.
You can definitely use it! Or go with Kinky Curly Custard or Innersence!!💖💖
