Last Day Mini Observations | London Central Bus Route P5 | Friday 1st Of May 2020

- Before some of you start complaining in the comments about me going out, route P5 is my local route, and I was out shopping, so I wasn't breaking the rules of lockdown.
Today is the last day of London bus route P5 being operated by London Central, a subsidiary of Go-Ahead London. Route P5 has always been operated by London Central from Camberwell (Q) garage since its inception on the 10th of November 1990, meaning it has been with London Central for almost 30 years! It's been a local route of mine for my entire life, and is my favourite local route.
From tomorrow, May 2nd, route P5 will begin operation under Abellio London from Walworth (WL) garage (which means it's technically only moving garages across the road from each other lol), with brand new Caetano e.City Gold electric single deckers, which were also bought for route C10 but haven't been put in service yet due to the pandemic.
I hope you are all safe during this lockdown. Only go out for essential needs, such as shopping or exercise, if you don't need to then stay home. I'd like to thank all bus drivers, NHS nurses and doctors, and all other key workers for they're hard work and support, doing all they can to protect the country. Let's hope this all ends soon! Hopefully we can all be out between June & August, because there are a lot of summer related things I want to do on this channel!

I'm a key work and work supermarket. Been working all week. Tomorrow is my day off I'll be going out with Camara enjoying my well deserved day off.

Absolutely loved driving at Camberwell 25 years ago. Great routes apart from this one
Too many twists and turns
Too many hail and ride section passengers that weren’t happy if we wasn’t stopping outside their houses
Needless to say I avoided this route if possible

There aren’t any routes that can use it, so they might transfer garages or be withdrawn, just like 100s Enviro 200s.

What will happen to the e200 on the p5, maybe the e200 MMC on the p5 SE291-SE292 will transfer to Merton for the 200
