When it comes to outdoor Scottish adventures, Munro Bagging is a national sport. A Munro is the Scottish term for a mountain over 3,000 feet (914.4 m), and it takes its name from Sir Hugh Munro who was the first to index all 282 of them in the 6th issue of the Scottish Mountaineering Club Journal in 1891. For the term “bagging”, this is the process of climbing them and ticking them off your list.
