Sundar seems like a really thoughtful and smart leader. Google has always stuck out to me due to their vision of organizing the world's information and making it universally accessible to their focus on artificial intelligence. Their services are accessible to everyone no matter if you're from a wealthy community or not.
The amount of scrutiny he handled with equanimity is commendable, Kara was relentless & ruthless .. Sundar honest and at times ambivalent.. such interview at open forums are super high stake .. many of the issues brought to light needs to be revolved by multi stakeholder committees , sooner the better…he is certainly one of the best tech executives in action
i like it-they need to be pressed by someone. we need more of this pressure applied to CEOs, politicians, and all leaders. imagine if Fox news truly held trump’s antics to account, if CNN acknowledged the train wreck of biden…
What did she do that so offends you? All these CEOs know Kara; they wouldn't accept the interview if they were the shrinking violets you think they are.
Very arrogant interviewer. Whoever she thinks she is 🤨. But see how gently and calmly Mr. Sundar answers to her questions. That clearly shows that he's a gentleman.
@@prrithwirajbarman8389 how old are you? She is very much listening, eye contact is not necessarily automatically going to make someone rude. She is interviewing him, it is HER job to ask questions. This isn't a friendly conversation podcast, she doesn't appear to say anything
Don't y'all think the seats are too close? Isn't it uncomfortable for Sundar!? In the Conferences and Podcasts, I have never seen the seats being too close.
Being open & humble are intellectual virtues. Knowledge is a social phenomenon, because encouraging a diversity of opinions is the best way to overcome individual biases & prejudices, to seek the truth. Think about wikipedia. Do conservatives seek the truth, or confirmation of their own ideology?
Thank you Sundar for giving me the ability to post this on your platform: The host of this show needs to get tips on how to interview people. Passive, under your breathe non-sense is really unappealing.
I quite like Kara’s approach. She gets different answers that are actually enlightening and won’t let business leaders just act like a human press release.
(Unspecified pronoun) is very typical. And replaceable. And piles on questions before they can be addressed. Confuses the listener as much as (unspecified pronoun) confuses (unspecified pronoun's) self. He's one of a kind. Highly focused, informative, intuitive and efficient. And saved this presentation. Enough said.
This host is rudely inserting her bias in asking you to judge yourself and your efforts in a field in which she obviously has contrasting opinions. I find her offensive and you too much of a gentleman to call her on i.
Impossible to watch this rude, opinionated interviewer any more! I hate to miss what Pichai has to say in the last half, but I will have to look for him in another venue, with a smarter, more open minded interviewer.
Google, please make a better electronic medical record system. We are currently in a strangle hold by Epic which has terrible UI. It makes us so much less efficient. I'd love to have a user friendly medical system which uses AI to assist me. It's a huge market and really would leverage all of your skills (UI, search, cloud, AI, etc.).
It’s annoying the host thinks banning a president from RUclips is the right policy for a tech company to make. What is wrong with letting people listen to what they want and make their own minds up about people.
Kara Swisher literally called Sundar "idiot" on stage and evidently deriving pleasure out of it. Pichai's humility and patience is outstanding. Think of doing that to Elon Musk. 43:52
She's mainly doing her job as a "journalist" but I think she's asking the wrong questions that seems a bit pushy, rather she could had gotten better answers if she just reword some of her questions. At the same time, can't blame her since she's needs to answer the political questions that her editors are looking for
Super computer science is a niche field to focus on With all these large amount of cloud data only few companies, if any, can compete with Google's knowledge graph So I think this is a field you can think about. You have to realise your competitors are countries or states providing services using super computers meaning you are providing services to NASA Also do think about Ar/Vr gaming industry and ways to provide secure platform for them
As far as interviews go with the tech leaders, this is the worst I've seen. Kara Swisher does not respect Sundar's opinion; instead, she sneaks in rude retorts to every point he makes. The fact that she refers to Sundar on more than one occasion as an idiot speaks volumes about her interviewing skills. Her tacky, biased comments are the result of her lack of understanding of how tech businesses work, as well as her eagerness to push her agendas. I will never watch any of her interviews in the future. Rude, incompetent, and lacking any decency when it comes to interviewing.
She's been doing these interviews for years, is friends with most of the CEOs she's interviewing, and has been covering tech since before Sundar even first joined Google (by a solid margin). You're projecting a lot of this onto both of them.
It may take a life time for one person to respect himself/herself. But how long it take to judge someone ? How long it take to decide to kill or beat someone?
Why isn't John Carmack on that stage. He's given up video games and VR to put his once in a millenia brilliant mind in the space of General AI. He should have fascinating opinions we would love to know
He says forget money just have fun at work! What an irony ! With billions of money in one pocket , anyone would say that .. we work to make both ends meet .. if u just keep enjoying at work like he said and forget money … we would come down to the streets to beg 😅!! Sundar's responsibility is to keep Google relevant. TikTok's algorithm gives users what they want. Google investors will move their money to TikTok if Google's returns are not the same as TikTok's. Sundar will take unpopular decisions in the short term to ensure long term sustainability. His decisions are ultimately influenced by the desires of investors. As consumers we have to accept responsibility for our own privacy, the safety of our children online and to support services with a hard policy of gender and race inclusion.

Whats with all that attitude from the interviewer. She is behaving as if these CEOs are working under her and reporting to her.
