- Fiji Rugby Royalty Eroni Sau has put in a number of big hits and dazzle long-range tries when representing Fiji and also club footy. Dubbed The Sledgehammer Eroni is one of the most versatile players on the field.
Sau comes from the village of Nabukeru Yasawa and attended Yasawa High School before moving to Lautoka to complete his Year 13 at Ba Provincial Freebird Institute, where he was introduced to rugby league. He joined Saru Dragons and was awarded a contract to play in the Cook Islands.
Later, he met Lagilagi Golea (FNRL development officer), who encouraged him to join a 7s team and put him in touch with the late Lote Rasiga, coach of Red Rock Rugby Club. Sau joined the squad in Qauai and even went on tour with them to Australia.

Me too, disappointing of our Nepal Rugby Team.. all skinny or people who try to gain weight and just become fat.. no speed, no power. They need to hit the weight room. Nepalese are finally starting to hit 6ft (younger generations) hopefuly Nepal can grow at a rapid rate in the sport of rugby. But at the moment it doesnt look like it.
This ultimately means more weight and doesnt hinder the person being “too” fat.
Ive watched this man couple of times... mahnnnnn he can really tackle. Fijians are pure physically genetics in built.
