He was my Boss (CEO) at CMA...Very intelligent and humble guy....He never wanted any staff member to call him Mr. or Sir, he preferred being called Paul.....These are good lessons Paul...Thanks

@@Mandology575 getting white collar jobs in the USA is a tall order. Most Africans in the US survive on menial jobs.
Africans are tired of mere survival in America. There are very many Africans coming back home to set up businesses, while some are looking for employment opportunities.
Africans that have come back home from the US are doing very well in business and in employment.
The grass is not always greener in the US.
We have lots of opportunities here in Africa. We've got to grab them.

Used to be my moms boss ( Rest her soul) and she used to speak so highly of him. I now see why. Very inspired
He sounds humble and intelligent not to mention that he comes from a wealthy family. I have met people who were raised in abject poverty and after GOD opens their doors, they demean people and walk around with pride.
There is a saying in Swahili "Maskini akipata matako hulia bwata"
That's true. We must seek first the Kingdom of God, then all things shall be added unto us.
Unfortunately poverty dehumanizes a lot of people. To anyone out there who was once poor and in their heart they are kind and humble respecting everyone, you are a wonderful part of the body of Christ. I thank God for you and may your children and their children's children never lack.

As soon as they idolise you, they demonise you. Make your expertise accessible so it can be impactful. Dont believe your own hype. This guy came out as simply brilliant.

Thank you for this. 🙏🏽 Ageism in the public sector can shutter a young person's morale. Serving with a University, I have been to meetings where the most senior person in the room introduces everyone and leaves me out. As painful as it was, (still is) I learned not to define myself by their poor choices in leadership. I let my work speak for who I am and what I stand for. God bless you. Keep thriving.

Such a great, authentic and useful speech. This is advice that is relevant not just for young people starting off their careers but for everyone, really. Two points especially resonate :- make your expertise accessible, otherwise it is useless; and don't believe your own hype. We easily get wrapped up in hype and almost idolize ourselves but it is important to remain grounded. Thank you Engage and thank you Paul for this sage wisdom.

...20 years ago they did. I know this... and he was applying to law firms not Macdonalds, they still do. Secondly... it’s not an accent it’s called annunciation..and you can practice and improve yours if you like.
