    Train travel is by far the best way of travelling around Europe. In this video, you will see what it is like to travel onboard Europe's FASTEST Train, in LUXURIOUS First Class seats, across some of the most BREATHTAKING landscape you see from a train carriage.
    Join me as I travel onboard Italy's Flagship FRECCIAROSSA 1000 High Speed Train from Milan to Paris across the beautiful French Alps

      @@Jack_Rice In Canada they are talking about high speed rail between Quebec City and Windsor Ontario but this has been going on for years. Europe especially central Europe know how to entice consumers on public transport especially if its less than six hours. No airport hassles and fast travel wish we had this at home Ottawa to Toronto is 6 hours by train high speed could cut that in half

    Indeed a train travel between many of the European biggest cities worth a lot more than the flying experience. Longer roads to the, not always close, airports, plus a long time necessary for the check in, security and passport control, pre boarding and yet many times a long taxing time until take off. As a retiree from the commercial airlines I flew for most of my travels, including destinations closed by, however the best memories are on the rail platforms facing those long trains and the scenery provided by the window.
    Keep on the rail, please!

    Great video thank you. I am tempted to take the train from London to Milan via Paris now! I wanted to visit Venice, San Marino and Rimini as well as perhaps Florence so getting to Milan by train would be perfect. I first visited Rimini, San Marino and Venice in a school summer holiday trip in 1983 in a coach from London and based at a hotel in Rimini. Most memorable and I want to go again. But not by plane and this is faster and more comfortable than by coach.

    I agree with you, Mr. Rice, because spend or waste time moving between Milano and Paris using this international line, instead of taking an airplane, does not have a cost. You paid one € price to enjoy the Alps sightseeing. What good luck had you. I am also a little bit fortunately, because I am living in Barcelona and there are one direct train to Paris Gare du Nord.

      @@Jack_Rice I agree - sans faire rien. - both are good. My wife and I did this journey last month on the afternoon service which brings you into Paris at going up to 11 pm, so we didn't see much between Lyon and Paris. As it happens, we were in seats 15 and 16 in coach D - where Jack was. We had cheaper, advanced booked tickets in standard class on the train the day before but couldn't make it as our connecting train from Venice to Milan was cancelled due to a rail strike. This proved to be very expensive as only business class seats were left for the following day and as the previous day's Milan - Paris train wasn't cancelled, the very helpful Trenitalia man at Venice could only re-imburse our Venice - Milan tickets. We lost our pre-paid hotel in Paris, needed to find somewhere to stay another night in Venice, needed to 'manage' our return Eurostar journey at some cost and tear-up our tickets for the London to Wigan leg. Asked the lovely chatty lady at Euston if Trenitalia, as part owners of Avanti West Coast would foot the bill; she, of course, simply smiled sweetly. We think we convinced her that next time she goes back to visit her family in Poland she should try the train. This hiccup won't stop us from avoiding the madness and stress of airport security and check-ins. It's all so much more civilised at St. Pancras.

    Was the direct train from Paris to Milan cancelled? I can't find any tickets on any website, they all appear with one or more stops. I tried different days and no direct train service appears.

    • @Jack_Rice
      @Jack_Rice  11 месяцев назад

      Are you sure. They seem to appear on the websites to me like Trainline or Trentalia.
      Also, FYI, there are only 2-3 trains per day between the two cities, and they seem to depart in the early hours of the morning, around 6AM.
