Always wanted to go to Athens , I been to Crete twice now which is another Greek island . Athens looks more modernized than Crete though , Crete a good place if u want to get that island feels , jump in the ocean from literally anywhere and see ancient history like Malia palace or Zeus cave

Hello Greek person born in Crete living in Athens here. Regarding Athens it's a nice place to visit but there are certain areas that are not very safe. The places depicted in this video are a good representation of safe areas. The area of Thiseio where Parthenon or Acropolis is the only area that is not 100% due to some instances of pickpocketing in the past. Also if you plan on visiting the monument I suggest having a bottle of water with you. Last time I visited, the mini market outside of the archeological area didn't have any. Hope you have a great rest of the day ☺️
